Chapter 1: Sky

Trooper's POV

I was running along a beautiful valley. Too bad I didn't have time to stop and admire it. I was still running from them.

I turned a corner and stopped dead in my tracks as I came face to face with a guy. He looked startled. I could tell even under his sunglasses. "Uh.. Sorry.." I stammered. "No it's fine.." He said. I heard them behind me. "Uh excuse me but I've gotta run!" I swerved around him and started running again. "WHAT THE!?!" I heard him yell. I looked behind me. They were surrounding him. I skidded to a halt and decided to take matters into my own hands. I drew out my diamond sword and charged. "Take this you slimy brute!" I smashed one on the head. There were about fifteen of them. Darting around quickly, I killed all of them. I had barely lost my breath. I turned to the guy. "T-thanks.. You were awesome!" He said. I pointed to my amulet. "This is the reason.. I'm usually very VERY shy around anyone.." He admired it. "It's kinda like mine!" He said pointing to his purplish amulet. "Only yours is green." I looked over him for a second. I just now recognized him. "SkythekidRS?" I asked. "The one and only." "Wow. I never though I would meet you. Ever." He shrugged. "Sometimes it can be a coincidence. What's your name?" I know he's going to like it, "Sky'sTrooper. Or Trooper." His eyes brightened up. "Someone has a username based on me?? YESS!!" I smiled. " I watch your videos every day." Sky lit up a bit. "Hey, I have some friends here with me. Wanna go meet them?" I thought for a second. "Sure. I'd like to make some friends around here.." Sky smiled and took the lead towards another valley. I saw smoke particles ahead. A group of four sat around a fire. I could understand why. It was cold and getting dark. "Hey guys!" Sky called to them. They all turned to look our way. First their eyes settled on Sky, then me. "Who's she?" Asked one of them. He was wearing a black suit, sunglasses, and he had a beard. "This is Trooper. I ran into her while she was running from the squids." Sky explained. I waved to them. "The squids huh?" Asked another. He was wearing a white tee shirt, grey jeans, and a headset. He had long brown hair as well. "Yeah. She also fought them off when they started to surround me." They looked at each other and nodded. "Come join us! You must be cold." Said the guy in a blue and white striped shirt, dark blue jeans, and grey shoes. "I'll be glad to.." I said quietly, but not so quiet that they couldn't hear. I sat next to the guy who convinced me to join them. I must have been shivering. The warmth of the fire felt so good. I wish I wasn't as shy as I was. The boys were talking and shouting and laughing while I sat quietly, looking at the ground. I saw out of the corner of my eye, the guy in the blue and white striped shirt looking at me. His face looked concerned. Like 'why so quiet?' Concerned. "Leave her be Steven. She needs some time to warm up." Sky told him. Steven was a nice name. They all began to chat again. About butter, destroying squids, and sometimes me.

Sky's POV

Trooper was a great girl. Although she was quiet most of the time, she did tell her own stories once in a while. "Sky its your turn to tell a story." Said Tyler. Trooper looked at me. Her short black hair was gleaming in the fire glow, and her grey green eyes shimmered. "SKY!!" I jumped. "WHAT?? Oh." I started my story. "I was walking along a mountain ridge when I saw a lake down at the bottom of the mountain. I saw squids in it as well. I figured, 'Why not blow up a few?' Since my inventory had a stack of TNT in it. I hopped down to the lake and brought out the TNT. I placed it in the middle of the lake and KABLAMO!! All of the water spewed up in a giant fountain! Squids were flying everywhere, dying on the shore. And I lived happily ever after. The end!!!" We all laughed together. I realized that it was Trooper's turn again. "Your turn Trooper." I said. She was looking at the ground again. But her breathing had gotten slower and more steady. She was asleep. "I guess that's a good idea isn't it." I suggested to everyone. They nodded and went into the house. I picked up Trooper and carried her in. She was surprisingly light. I set her on the couch and went to bed.

TIME SKIP TO MORNING

I woke with a jolt. That dream was freaky.. I dreamt that I had the power of spitting up hair balls.. (Lol) I actually think I feel a hair in my mouth now.. "Blech.." I got out of bed and got dressed in the usual clothes. I went downstairs to see that Trooper wasn't on the couch anymore. I looked out the window to see her sitting on a tree stump. She was gazing out at the mountains and valleys and forests. The dawn colors of the sky made it beautiful. I went out and sat on the grass next to her. "Beautiful isn't it?" I asked. "Mhm." She mumbled back. "What's wrong?" She stared out at the scenery for a moment then looked at me. Her bright green eyes seemed to have grown a bit darker.. "They know we're here.." She sounded scared.. "The squids?" I asked her. "Yes. I saw them outside the window last night. They were wearing these water tank things. They're getting smarter.." I began to worry.. They WERE getting smarter if they found a way to get on land without dying.. Ian opened the door and poked his head out. "You two love birds want breakfast or what?" I swung around. "I only like her as a friend!" I said nearly letting myself blush. Trooper had turned around to look at him. "What I'm just kidding with you guys!" Trooper slightly chuckled. She got up and went inside. "Come on, I need food." She left the door open for me. I got up and followed close behind her.

Ty's POV (supposed to be in chapter two but I was too lazy to copy and paste it.)

They ran inside and took a seat. Trooper sat next to Steven, and Adam sat next to me. Ian sat in between me and Steven, while Tyler sat to the right of Adam. We all ate the roasted pork and beef with scrambled eggs. Trooper only nibbled at her food. "What's up?" I asked her. "The universe." She replied without looking at me. Everyone giggled a bit. She set her fork down and pushed her plate away from her. Then she put her head on the table and began to sigh. "Trooper, tell us what's wrong. You can trust us." Steven said to her. "They know our location." She mumbled. "Who does?" Ian asked. "The squids." Adam replied for her. Everyone turned towards him. We all had a look of slight panic in our eyes. Trooper's head shot up. Steven and Tyler jumped back in surprise. "I'll be right back." She said as she was slipping away. "Where are you-" she left as I was asking her the question. "Must be important?" Said Tyler.
