I Saw Love

Today, I saw me,

Not influenced by the outside world, or things I may see,

But I saw that little girl, the one I used to be,

No longer was I threaten by defeat or lack of success,

But in the image I'd seen, God I was blessed,

When I walked there was your presence, but I didn't see pearls,

As I looked it felt like heaven, God I saw love,

Still I didn't walk like my neighbor, and I didn't sing like a bird,

But I was impacted by favor, as I was covered by the blood,

Today I saw me,

It wasn't my beauty or my smile, those I couldn't see,

But I saw that little child, the one I used to be,

No longer was I ashamed, I saw my eyes,

Starring at the image you made, God it was a prize,

Not adapted to what's natural, or even preferred,

But when I looked it was factual, God I saw love,
