It's been 2 years now; Anika had her book published and it was a hit. I'm really proud of her and that she never takes a no for an answer and pursuits her dreams. We were all graduated at this point, even Erick, who we thought that would take a while but he managed to graduate last year.

I'm go to propose to Anika. It's been almost three years since we met and these three tears have been the best ones of my life and all thanks to her. I was going to call Richard, because he offered to help me set the proposal.

'Sup Zabdi' I hear Richard saying that to me and I hated it. It all began one time, the boys came over unannounced and well... me an Anika were having sex and she called me that, and those creeps heard it and since that day, they used that to tease me.

' Shut up pendejo' I heard him laugh on the other side of the phone and I'll admit, I laughed too 'Is everything okay with the plan?' I'm so nervous, what if she says no or what if she runs away with fear?

'Yes manin, everything is okay, stop overthinking, she's going to say yes, she's going to cry her ass off first, but she'll say yes' Richard tried to calm me down, he did actually, but only a bit.

'Ok Ok, she'll be home in 20 minutes, so I just wanted to make sure that every thi.... Richard and if it starts to rain?' I heard a slap from across the line and I could tell that it was Richard slapping himself

'Carajo Zabdiel, I checked the weather three times today, it won't rain pendejo' I hear as he took a deep breath, what can I do, I'm in a pile of nerves. I never asked anyone to marry me. 'It will be fine bro, just relax and good luck'

'Thanks Rich, I mean it, bye' I sat on the sofa and started to calm myself when I heard keys unlocking the door. I looked over to see Anika with a big smile

'Hey babe, how was your day?' She came over and kissed me, sitting by my side.

'Stressful but good' am I lying? Nop

'That's good amor' She got up, leaving me alone in the couch 'Did you thought of anything for diner?' I got up and walked over to her, wrapping my arms around her and rested my head in the crook of her neck, kissing it.

'I thought we could go out, you know, we haven't done this in a while, being just the two of us' She turned herself around and gave me a smirk

'Mentiroso, do you want me to remind you what we did last night?' I laughed at her and pecked her lips.

'I actually want, but not now. I want you to get ready, I already mad a reservation ' She nodded and kissed me.

'I'm going to take a shower then' She walked away from me, and I couldn't help but slap her ass, receiving a look from her.

I was ready, but Anika was late, as always, and finally I hear our room door being open and I looked and I could swear that I had a mini heart attack, she's always beautiful and I couldn't be happier of the way she made me feel, but today, today she managed to make my heart skip a beat.

'You...you look...I don't even have the words' She smiled and she came up to me

'If you're a good boy tonight, I might let you see what I have inside' Did she really just dirty talked to me? Oh boy, if we weren't to leave and I had this already set up....

'Shall we go now?' I ignored what she said, because if I didn't, we weren't leaving this house, I swear.

We got in the elevator and I pressed the button to the last floor, and from there we had to walk the stairs. She didn't realise my actions until the elevator doors opened and she saw a hall similar to ours. She looked at me very confused and I guided her out and into the stairs to the roof. She still had her confused face on, until I opened the door, revealing a table settled for us, with Christmas lights around. She looked over at me, very confused.

'What is this for? I thought we were going out' She smiled, but still confused.

'I thought I could make you a surprise dinner for once, and in fact we will be eating out' I winked at her, receiving a slap on my arm. I held her and with my fingers intertwined with hers and when we got to the table, I pushed her chair, helping her.

'Look who's all chivalrous tonight. I like this side of you' All I could respond now was a smile. When I sat, I saw Erick and Joel coming our way, and Erick looked pretty annoyed for the dress code that Richard other him to follow. When they came to us, and Anika saw the way they were dressed she let out a gasp and laughed.

'You guys look so cute'

'I feel like a penguin, I hate it' Erick complained and Joel quickly elbowed him in his side, making him suffer his pain in silence

' Well I would give you guys a menu, but the only thing ready is lamb salad ' Joel spoke making Anika laugh.

We finished eating and I grew more anxious than ever. Now was the perfect moment. I grabbed her hand, taking her by surprise, as she looked in my eyes

'Anika, since the first day I saw you, I knew you were the one, and we've been through many things together by now and I couldn't be happier about it. I love you so much, that I'm always afraid that one day I might explode of being so caught up in you and the way you are, and the way you make me feel. I love you so so much Anika' I could see a bit of fear in her eyes, she knew what was happening, that was one of the things I loved about her, she was quick to notice anything around her ' Anika Alvaréz, will you marry me?'
