9. The feuds are the signs of favour

❝
Two wrongs never make a right,
Said the man who had never seen your eyes,
The almond drops drizzled and dried,
The honey upon your lips lamented and cried.

The leaves crunch beneath your feet,
The stones tumbling down the streets,
The charms of the mellifluous melody mean
No harm for the princess in the land of Queen.

The words of the ocean in the body of the meek,
The salt laced the wounds in a manner ever so sleek,
The warm sea breeze peels the skin to the core,
The icy ripples freeze the marrow and the bone.

The places to hide, the places to wither,
The places you lied, the places you tethered,
Reside amongst the pale stars,
That spun the silk of dust and tar.

The cracks you healed, the memories you sealed,
The words that cut the daggers blunt, in the reel,
The grave I dug, the hymns you sang,
The nails of my fingers covered in dirt, they rang.

The Gods are just the marbled monuments,
Not the flesh and bone like us ignorant,
If they felt what our alleged rotten hearts couldn't,
The muffled moans of mercy in the darkest alleys of menace, they existed, wouldn't.

So I felt the shadow of your clouds moving past me,
Even when my eyes were closed, I could see its darkened belly,
The sun in the grey sky upon the whims,
The laugh in the sad sky upon the qualms.

Farewell, the young one supreme,
Let the moonlight filter through the canopy and gleam,
Let the path makes you inure to the opulence,
But the Sapphire sunshine upon the golden arc will only bring ebullience.
