10. honey and happiness

There's a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow,
But when I looked for it, the gold melted into honey and letting it flow,
The cries and tragedies we penned, crystallised,
But the warmth in yellow daisies sang a song of paradise.

My eyes didn't see, they were hollow,
You grew the daffodils, wiping my sorrow,
Upon the fortunate glow under the rain of the afternoon,
The stars shimmered, the words burnt out the glitter and gloom.

I was fragile like a withered petunia curled
upon a pillow, a satin touch,
Blown by the winds of dull and dreary delight,
Alleviating the mood, swaying away from my plight.

Honey is sweet, but honey is stardust,
The shimmering grains of the Sun,
The laugh of a newborn, ever so frivolous,
But not the metal gold, tastes ever so treacherous.

The words you wrote, bearing my name,
Bloomed flowers in between the crevices and spaces, the ones I could tame,
The scent of the old parchment paper, the flavour in your nature,
Healed my wounds, with the flowers in your words, like the tincture.

The dazzling daydream of the light,
Only against the darkest storm, one might see and pride,
But the black and white picture you gave me in my hand,
Screamed more colours than a rainbow, a sea or land.

So can I count on you, like Scooby doo?
And can I pick the dandelions from your garden,
Can I blow them against the lamenting loo,
And make your roses and proses ardent?

Are the real monsters human?
If so then real humans are the sun,
I can be your periwinkle and olives,
But like a sunflower, you're the reason I exist.

So the glory and fame we hone may burn,
And the foes of humanity would not leave any stone unturned,
But I hope the honey that I water you with will not let the flower in you uproot,
And in you, the new era of humanity with bear the fruit.
