Chapter 12

(Yuki's POV)

After we ate sushi for dinner. We bid our farewells and head home.

"I already have my things with me. You don't have to take me home anymore." I pointed out as Homare and I walk side by side.

"I told you, I'll take you home." Homare said.

I sighed. He could really be stubborn when he wants to.

"What?" Homare asked.

"I don't want to be a bother." I answered.

"Well, you're not so don't worry about it."

"Why... Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked.

Homare looked confused like me.

"If you are doing this... Because I resembles your sister, please stop already." I tried to sound casual but my voice betrayed me.

"Where did you got that idea?" Homare asked.

"Uhhh..." My voice trailed off.

"I'm waiting..." Homare's voice sounds so gentle.

"I accidentally heard you talking to Kanji when you were at the balcony on our last night of our school trip..." I answered softly, almost a whisper to myself.

"Sorry about that. I was a complete idiot back then." Homare said.

I looked up at him. He was staring at me.

"I only said that as an excuse." Homare pat my head. "Don't ever think about that ever again or else..."

"Or else what?"

"I'll feel really sad."

"Why?" I asked.

"I am asking myself the same question." Homare chuckled.

"It's a surprise that there's something you don't know." I mocked.

"At least I have a theory." Homare said.

"What is it?"

Homare grinned.

"What?" I asked again.

"I'm not going to tell you." Homare said.

I frowned.

"That's not fair." I remarked.

"You think so?" Homare asked.

I nodded reluctantly.

"Then... Why are you nice and sweet to me? Why do you care for me and my family?" Homare's question caught me of gaurd.

"Uhmm..." My heart began to beats fast when I thought of the reason why...

'Because I love you...'

"Why?" Homare interrogated.

"I-I'm not going to tell you!" I answered.

Homare laughed.

"What's with that expression??" Homare teased.

"And then?" Chiharu asked.

"And then what? That's all that happened." I answered.

Chiharu and Nakamura cornered me during our lunch break and sworn that they would never leave me alone until I tell them everything that happened last Friday.

"Thats's it??" Nakamura asked.

"Uhh..."

He kissed me on my forehead at the Tokyo Tower.
