The Quiet Night

The quiet of the dark,

The calm of the night,

Reminds us of the ease

That comes after the fright.

That's when we are reminded

Of all the things we could've changed.

They follow one after another,

Like the iron links on a chain.

The things that drew a sword

Deep inside our souls,

The things that we struggle on,

The things that burnt some holes.

But even then, through all of that

We would still be left with peace.

Because while we relive it,

The pain tends to cease.

Though the problems aren't over,

And the struggle is still very true;

After that long, tiring day

The quiet night brings out the tranquility in you.
