PREVIOUSLY ON LITTLE AGENT GIDEON

"Alena, listen very carefully. Try not to raise any alarm but we have the Unsubs name."

I started to panic, looking around as I was paranoid

"Who is it Spence?"

"Amber Gray. She lives in close proximity and may be on the way to you now."

I heard a high pitched scream come from the room I was previously talking to Ellie in

"Spence, I have to go."

"Wait Al-"

I hung up the phone and ran in. I yelled, pointing my gun

"FBI!!"

I saw Amber Gray stood with Ellie in a headlock. She had a gun pointed towards Ellie's head.

ALENA'S POV

I pointed my gun at Amber, Ellie was whimpering in fear. This was a first for me, I had to look one of my idols in the eyes and convince her not to kill my other idol

"Miss Gray, listen to me. You don't want to do this, jealousy is an ugly trait. You don't need to be jealous, you are amazing and successful. Please, just drop the gun."

She looked crazy, her hair was frazzled and her eyes were bloodshot. Black circles engulfed the underneath of her eyes. She looked tired, she'd obviously hadn't slept in days.

"No. How can I be successful when there are girls like her? Beautiful and successful girls like her are a threat to me."

"Is that why you killed all those innocent people? Taylor, Jordan, Jeremy and Andrew?"

She nodded, sobbing for a moment

"You don't have to kill. You are so beautiful and successful, you are an idol of mine. I understand you,"

She shook her head

"No, I am not and you do not understand. You say you do when you don't. There was only one girl in the world that understood me, she was my best friend, until she started hooking up with Jeremy."

I looked confused, Ellie used the small amount of strength she had to ask

"Me?"

Amber nodded

"Why Amber? Why Ellie specifically? You wanna know what I think? I think you are in denial, blinded by love. You are so hurt by the thought of Ellie being with someone that wasn't you?"

She shook her head vigorously, choking back her sobs

"No. NO! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!! SHUT UP!!"

I tried to snatch Ellie from Amber's grasp. Ellie fell to the floor. Amber swung and punched me, I grabbed her and restrained her. She was quite strong for a crazy women, she scratched my arm with her long nails. Causing me to release her, she found the closest, harmful object and hit me in the head. There was shattered glass everywhere. I got up, the blood dripping from my forehead and Amber was standing directly opposite me. Ellie was sobbing quietly in a corner

"Amber, you know there are two ways out of this. Right now, you are isolating the only good option and there is now one way out. One outcome where you don't survive."

She deviously smiled

"Not unless I kill you first, then I am free to live my life loving Ellie."

"You don't want to do this."

I've been in hostage situations before but not like this, this time it felt like I was actually going to die. There was so many regrets I had. Like not taking chances, seeing my dad more. Spending more time with the BAU. Telling Spencer how I really felt. Ellie found energy to scream

"I COULD NEVER EVER LOVE YOU AMBER!!!"

I saw her heart broke. That fear of rejection in her eyes, that pain. She ran towards me

REID'S POV

The SWAT team arrived at the building along with the BAU. I had a vest on, along with the rest and planned to go in. I ran up four flights of stairs, catching my breath. I ran up another flight with Morgan when I heard the first shot, the second shortly after. I yelled

"ALI!!!!!!"

I ran up, kicked down the door and saw Ellie sobbing in the corner. I searched around and came across a body on the floor. I turned her over and saw Amber. I kept on searching the spacious apartment and saw Alena starring at me. She looked beaten, there were signs of resistance. She had fought Amber and clearly, Ali had won. The moment she saw he, she ran up giving me a tight, warm hug. I wasn't one to hug but there was something different about Ali. Her touch, her affection. I didn't mind, at some points I found myself craving her touch. The SWAT team cleared the building. I looked over to see Ellie being comforted by a SWAT agent, she had got to known the agent throughout the days of the investigation. I could tell maybe in a month or so, they might have a blossoming romance but the one thing this job teaches me everyday, you can never predict the future.

ALENA'S POV

I walked over to Ellie, who was still a bit shook up. She smiled

"Thank you Alena. Without you, I probably would've still been in danger. I may not have even been here. So thank you."

I smiled, hugging her

"It's my job but you are welcome. It's not everyday that you can say you saved your idol."

She laughed, I continued. I passed her my business card

"Here, this is my card. Call me whenever you want, maybe for a catch up or something."

She took the card, smiling

"Yeah that would be great, thank you. Goodbye Junior Agent."

"Goodbye Ellie."

I walked out of her apartment, grabbing my go bag from the police station and I got on the jet. Everyone was fast asleep apart from me and Spencer. I was sat on a separate seat, gazing out the window. Spencer came over to me, smiling

"Hey, oh god your face."

He placed his hand to my cheek, noticing the cuts and bruises from my fight with Amber earlier. I smiled,

"It's alright, I'm fine. How are you?"

"I'm good, a bit anxious but I guess that's the adrenaline."

I tilted my head to the side

"Why?"

"I heard the gunshots when me and the SWAT team were raiding the apartment. I was scared Ali, I thought that you were shot. It scared me to think about you being hurt."

I smiled at him, holding his hand

"But I'm alive. I am here because of you. I hate to admit it as I normally like to act as if I am an independent women but you, Spence, are my guardian angel."

He moved next to me, I rested my heavy head on his shoulder as Morgan started to snore. We both giggled, gazing into each other's eyes. I was falling hard for Doctor Spencer Reid.
