REID'S POV

"Did the man say his name? Who he was?"

The boy nodded

"S-S-Sam. Samuel Baden."

I ran out and dialled Gideon.

"Gideon, it's Reid. We have a name, Samuel Baden."

"Reid, run to the bullpen now."

I raced downtown to the bullpen. Gasping for air, when I finally got there. Gideon came out of his office and raced towards me.

"Reid, you and me are going. I don't want anyone else, especially Alena on this case. Morgan, you cover for us ok?"

He nodded, I went to put on my vest before remembering something important

"Gideon, can I meet you out there?"

"Hurry"

Gideon walked off and Morgan followed me as I rummaged in a draw in the desk I had at the Ohio station. I finally found what I needed

"What is it boy genius?"

I handed him a cassette tape, a tape that I started recording roughly twelve months ago. He looked confused

"What's this?"

"I can't tell you. If anything happens to me, can you give this to Alena?"

He looked upset, I never thought I'd see Morgan upset. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw Alena was calling. I ignored it and put the phone back in my pocket.

"Kid, nothings gonna happen to yo-"

"Just, if it does. Please, I need that to get to her."

He nodded, I grabbed my gun and walked off as Morgan got a call.

MORGAN'S POV

As Reid handed me the cassette tape and walked off, I got a phone call from my desk.

"Hey Morgan, can you pick me up? I'm at the hospital?"

"Sure thing."

I got into a car and picked Alena up, the hospital was only three minutes away so it was a quick drive. She got in the car, starring at her phone

"Hey, what's up pretty girl?"

"It's Reid, he won't answer his phone. I have tried him about twelve times now. Do you know where he is?"

I shook my head, avoiding eye contact with her. We got back to the bullpen and Alena was rummaging through all the files and then she barged into Garcia's office she had at the Ohio station

"Um hello Alena."

I walked in as she was typing on Garcia's computer, leaning over Garcia.

"Alena, what's wrong?"

She printed out a file and walked out, back into the bullpen.

GIDEON'S POV

Reid and I walked into a big office building. There was a receptionist there, she looked young. A bit too young to be working in a legitimate office building. I flashed my badge and could immediately see the panic in her eyes. I asked

"Miss, where is Samuel Baden?"

She pointed to the third floor and the elevator. I thanked her and went in the elevator, reaching the third floor. As me and Reid reached the third floor, we wandered around. Reid tried not to look suspicious. As I turned around, Reid was unconscious on the floor. I ran over to Reid and checked for his pulse. A moment later, I felt something hard smack my head. I fell to the ground next to Reid. I was slowly looking consciousness, I saw a tall man with blonde hair standing over me. He was wearing a smart suit and had a briefcase in his hand as well as a gun. There was no one around so he kicked me and everything went black.

ALENA'S POV

I frantically raced about the bullpen for hours, racing to get profiles together. I walked over to Spencer's desk but it was empty. His satchel wasn't there and he had taken his gun. I walked over and knocked on my dads office door but no one was there. His badge and gun was also gone. That's when I realised something was wrong. I walked over to Hotch's office next door. He opened the door and welcomed me in

"Alena, what can I do for you?"

My face was stern

"Sir, where's Spencer? And my father?"

His face grew a concerned look

"I thought they were here?"

I stormed out, looking through Spencer's desk. Morgan came rushing over to me.

"Alena, what are you doing? You do realise that's a hug invasion of privacy."

I snapped

"Morgan, I don't care about invasion of privacy. Spencer and Gideon could be in trouble. They aren't answering their phones. Please, do you know where they are?"

He looked guilty

"I was sworn to keep you away from the investigation. I ca-"

"Morgan. You are putting Gideon's life in danger. You are even putting Spencer's life in danger."

He sighed

"They went to Sam's work. They went to catch him."

I grabbed my chair and stood on it, alerting everyone

"EVERYONE LISTEN NOW. TWO OF OUR AGENTS ARE IN DANGER. I NEED EVERY RESPONDER ON THE SCENE STRAIGHT AWAY."

I went to grab my bulletproof vest when Morgan grabbed my hand

"Alena I need to speak to you."

I furrowed my eyebrows, waiting for him to continue. He handed me a small cassette tape, I saw it was labelled 'To Alena'

"Morgan, what's this?"

He sighed, placing his muscular hand behind his neck.

"Spencer made me promise to give this to you in case he was ever in danger."

A tear rested in my eyes, I looked down and starred at the tape for a while. He patted me on the back and made his way to the car. I placed the tape in my pocket and followed him.

AT THE WORK BUILDING

We arrived at the building and surrounded the building. I got a radio and tried to negotiate with Sam

"Sam please. We just want to help you, you don't have to do this."

For a while there was no noise, then a static reply came in

"I will give you an option Agent. Your two agents are in here. Pick one to die, with Agent Gideon or Doctor Reid. What is your decision?"

"Neither. If you want someone to kill, pick me."

Morgan rushed over to me, snatching the radio off me

"Alena! What are you doing!?"

The radio came back in

"That is the wrong choice Agent. Both of them will now die. Goodbye."

The radio disconnected.
