ALENA'S POV

WARNING : Mention of sensitive subjects ⚠️

It had been eight months since me and Spencer lost Veronica. We named her Veronica after the visit to the hospital and buried a small, empty box in our favourite park for her.

My dad was still away at his cabin, I never told him about Veronica. It would've broken his heart to know that I had a miscarriage and he wasn't here. He seemed ok the last time I phoned, relaxed. Better, now that he is relaxing out of the BAU. He still hasn't decided what he wanted to do. He was travelling back to the bullpen in a few days to visit.

I had told no one, I didn't want to tell anyone that I was pregnant this time. I listened to my subconscious mind and the test came out positive. I was three months, just about to hit four. I was waiting for the four month mark to tell anyone. I was so happy, and I knew Spencer was going to be happy.

I walked into the office, greeted by the smiling faces of Morgan, Emily, JJ, Rossi, a new member of the team that had joined a day or two after we caught the Electroshock therapist, and Spencer. Rossi was a nice new addition to the team, he fit right in. He knew my dad and remembered me from when I was 7. Him and my father were thick as thieves, they started the BAU. Rossi walked up to me

"Ahh little Gideon."

I chuckled, Spencer walked over with his hand around my waist

"Biologically that is correct but on a marriage certificate, you are factually incorrect."

Rossi rolled his eyes

"Where did he even come from?"

We all laughed, I made my way over to my desk which was opposite Spencer's and beside Emily's

"So Em, we have any new cases?"

She shook her head

"Nothing at all?"

"Nope, got a no case week."

Dereks head popped up

"That's unusual."

JJ added

"Yeah, this seems a bit too normal."

I got up, after emptying my satchel

"I will ask Hotch."

I walked up to Hotch's office, knocking on the door

"Hello Alena, what can I do for you?"

He guided me in as I continued

"Do we have a case today? Or tomorrow?"

He shook his head

"Yeah it's unusual, but sometimes there's weeks like that so I'd like everyone to continue with their paperwork if you could spread the word."

I nodded, thanking him and walking out of his office

"Ok, so no cases this week. We are being ordered to continue our paperwork."

Spencer's eyebrows furrowed

"I'm so confused."

I added

"So am I."

Rossi jokes

"Well if the geniuses are confused, this can't be easy."

Everyone else laughed. They all returned to their paperwork, suspiciously. It was entirely too normal for my liking, I tried to make it entertaining by throwing pieces of paper into Spencer's coffee cup, Emily and Morgan joined in. Spencer did not look impressed when Morgan and Emily did it but he was smiling when I did it. We would normally play practical jokes on each other, but no one wanted to play jokes on me. I walked towards my desk and saw everyone's faces light up and look at Morgan. When I sat down, Morgan chuckled. I looked in my coffee cup and saw he tried to pour salt into my cup. I grabbed my cup and poured it down the sink without hesitation. No one saw.

When Morgan was away from his desk, I grabbed a pinch of salt and poured it into Morgan's cup. Spencer and Emily saw, walking over to me

"Wow, that was smooth."

"How did you know?"

I smirked

"Because no one can out prank me."

Morgan came back and continued his work as did others. When he sipped his cup, he spat it out

"Oh my god. What th-"

He looked around for a culprit, until he caught eye with my smirk.

"Wow, who told her then?"

I stood up, grabbing a file

"No one had to tell me Morgan. You really gotta work on your skills, you don't prank the girl voted 'best prankster' in high school."

He chuckled as did the others eavesdropping. There was a call from the mail department so I answered

"Hello."

"Mailed file for the BAU. In the shoot."

"Thank you."

I hung up and collected it from the mail shoot we had just outside the bullpen. It was a big package titled 'BAU' in red ink. I walked in with it in my hands, the others were still working. I opened the package and saw photos. There were thousands of photos of Morgan. And JJ, and Emily, and Rossi, and Garcia, and Hotch, and Spencer, and me. And oh god, even my dad. I dropped the photos on the desk, my hand over my mouth. Morgan ran over with Emily. The rest turned their heads

"What is it Alena?"

I pointed at the file as they looked inside. The pictures were endless, the others walked over as Morgan yelled

"HOTCH!"

He rushed out of his office

"What's wrong Morgan?"

He looked down on the desk and saw the photos. It wasn't just the BAU team, it was us in our everyday lives with our loved ones. Most of Hotch's had Jack in them, JJ with Henry, Emily with her cat in her apartment, Garcia with Kevin, and Me with Spencer. There were a couple hidden with Gideon. I took them and saw, the man was at Gideon's cabin. His supposedly safe cabin. Hotch slammed the photos down

"Ok, I want everyone to extra vigilant. We will work tirelessly to protect ourselves as well as each other. I will try and assign protection to you all, but be here for each other. We will find whoever is doing this. Everyone take a portion of photos and we will analyse them. Take each others and sort them into personal piles, if there is anything discovered them gather each other immediately. I don't want anyone going rogue ok?"

We all nodded, the case came to us after all. It was our case, we were the victims.
