REID'S POV

It had been two years since Alena joined the BAU and two years since me and her got together. We have had so many gruesome cases over these few years, many have been personally challenging for me but Alena has always been there. Within our relationship, nothing intimate had happened which seems like a real idiot move from me but I was waiting for the right time. We were at home, watching a movie. Her long, smooth legs rested on top if my thighs, she smiled as I approached her

"Hey, when's your birthday? You've never told me."

She let out a slightly annoyed sigh

"I never tell anyone mainly because I don't like my birthday. So leave it Spence."

I could see tears in her eyes, her face turned away from me.

"Sorry."

She felt guilty. Her cold, dainty hand cupped my warm cheek

"I'm sorry. It's a sore subject for me, that's all."

I smirked, pressing my lips against hers. She cracked a small smile, lying down on the couch. Tonight might be the the night. I lent over her, embracing her. My hands slowly slipped from the side of her neck, to her tiny waist. Her dainty legs wrapped around me. I started to unbutton her blouse and she ripped my shirt off my body. Suddenly, someone pounded on the door. She looked up at me, annoyed about the interruption.

"I'll get it."

She whispered into my ear, nibbling it in the process. She pushed me off of her and went to answer the door. I sighed, sitting up on the couch. Her blouse was half undone and my shirt was on the other side of the room. The door flung open and Gideon was standing in the door frame, I jumped up and ran to grab my shirt. Alena buttoned up her blouse.
Gideon had his eyes closed, chuckling.

"Well that wasn't what I expected to see. But anyway, we have a new case. We are all needed at the bullpen in 20 minutes. Wheels up in 30. There will be a short 10 minute briefing."

ALENA'S POV

I nodded and he walked off, down the hallway. A pair of semi-muscular arms wrapped around my arm, a pair of warm lips caressed my neck. I giggled as he hit a sensitive spot.

"Ah ah. Duty calls Doctor."

He frowned, spinning me around to face him. I shrugged and grabbed my go bag

AT THE BULLPEN

I walked into the conference room, everyone was sat around the table with case files in hand. I sat down next to Emily and Spencer as JJ began to brief us

"There are a couple in Texas killing and robbing small establishment as they travel. They are essentially following in the steps of famous American killing couple, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in 1920. Modern day copy cats. Three officers have been murdered in the process of trying to catch this couple."

Everyone turned to me for statistics, I had nothing to say. They then turned to Reid who was also speechless. Gideon was shocked

"Genius couple of the year have nothing to say."

The team laughed as we all grabbed out go bags and headed on the jet.

ON THE JET

GIDEON'S POV

I was reading a case file on the plane, sitting next to Alena and opposite from Morgan and Spencer. Morgan was acting childish, as usual

"So Alena, you have to be the next birthday on the BAU."

Her face grew pale, I could tell she was uncomfortable and annoyed. She walked away, into the kitchen area. Morgan looked confused, Spencer just looked guilty

"Did I say something?"

I let out a deep sigh as everyone huddled around, listening in

"For Alena, birthdays are a touchy subject for her. It reminds her of Sarah. Her mother. Sarah was killed when Alena was six by an Unsub. She discovered the body and called me, I remember it like it was yesterday. Sarah was murdered on Alena's birthday so she is hesitant to ever celebrate again."

I could see a tear in Spencer's eye as Alena returned. She has been crying but everyone was sensitive towards her, no one wanted to bring it up. She grabbed an eye mask and headed to the three way chair near the back of the jet. She lied down, pulling the eye mask over her vision. Spencer got up and sat down next to her, her legs covered his thighs. As protective as I wanted to be, they were good together. Hotch sat down next to me and leaned over

"I'm an over protective dad as well but you gotta admit, they work. They are good together."

I smiled, looking at them

"I do hate to admit it. If he ever hurt her, I do stand by my word bu-"

"Do you honestly think Spencer would ever hurt a girl?"

I looked back to them. Alena was fast asleep and Spencer was stroking her leg, while reading a book. I turned back to Hotch, who laughed looking at me

"Yeah. He wouldn't hurt a fly."

We both chuckled and went back to our files. Part of me knew that I was a bit wrong, Spencer wouldn't hurt Alena and he wouldn't hurt the team intentionally but I think he would have the anger and the determination to kill an Unsub or anyone who hurt Alena or the team.

ALENA'S POV

The jet landed, I was awake but I was waiting for a certain dreamy man to wake me up. I felt a veiny hand shake my arm, my eye mask was lifted and my eyes met with Spencer's messy hair. I smiled as he kissed me

"Did you sleep well?"

I smiled

"How do you sleep well after you haven't slept?"

He chuckled, gesturing a hand and lifting me up

"Touché"

We got off the jet and made our way to the sheriffs department. It was a wooden, small building. There was only men there, which made me a bit uncomfortable. It was mainly to do with past experiences. Spencer saw me tense up and placed his arm around me as we were all introduced to the sherif and we briefed them roughly on the case.
