I was scrolling through the comments on Grace's post and honestly was quiet hurt. Who are these girls, why are they commenting about me and Kirby, and why are they being so mean about it?
I decided that the only way I could get their comments out of my head was practice. So, I grabbed my skates and headed to the rink. Thankfully, there was an open skate so I could just kinda chill and do my own thing.
I did a few warmup laps before practicing my spins and jumps. As usual, there was a rowdy group of hockey guys my age trying to "act cool" to get any girl they could. It usually worked because they played hockey and all the girls thought they were cute... and I mean... the girls aren't... wrong...
The guys aren't horrible to look at... so I mean... I wouldn't mind if one asked for my snapchat. Whatever. I minded my own business and just practiced what I could at an open skate. I noticed that one of the guys in the group of hockey boys kept watching me, which made me extremely nervous. This caused me to fall on almost all of my jumps and spin combos. Not a great look for me.
After open skate was over, I was sitting on a bench taking my skates off when the guy who wouldn't stop staring at me walked over.
"Hey." He said
"Hi."
"My name's Kaleb."
"Elliott."
"That's different. I like it."
"Thanks."
"I saw some of your falls. Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine. It happens all the time."
"Anyway, I was wondering; can I get your number?"
"Sure."
He handed me his phone and I put my name as Elliott🤠 and texted myself so I could save his number.
"Thanks. I'll text you later."
"No problem. Sounds good." And with that he walked back over towards his group and I left.
It was a later open skate tonight so when I got home, I took a shower and got ready for bed. While I was brushing my hair, my phone went off.
