He hands him a folder y/n dad starts reading through it

Namjoon: thanks for coming and helping me out to pick a ring

Jade: no problem so when are you going to propose

Jade: so I can arrange and prepared everything for you guys

Namjoon: I don't know yet maybe her birthday.. we're here

Worker: what size is the finger

Jade: I got this we have the same size finger

Namjoon: um can you take this, this, and this out

Namjoon: jade what do you think

Jade: hmm no...

Namjoon: you're right

They continue on like this for a while until namjoon spots a ring he likes

Namjoon: hmm... I found it this one perfect

Worker: you can also engraved on the ring or customize one

Namjoon: I want to engrave on the ring

They payed and left the jewelry store

Namjoon: I hope she likes it

Jade: she not going to like it she is going to love it.

Jade: now when you decide on a date call me so I can plan and arrange it for you

Time skip~ couple of weeks

Y/N: namjoon i can't have lunch with you today

Y/N: my dad ask to see me today

Namjoon: ok I'll see you later at home have a great day~

Y/N: you too~

...

Y/n arrives at her parents house, she knock on her dad study room to get his attention he looks up and looks at her.

Y/N: hello father how have you been

Y/n dad: smiles y/n come in

She walks in and stand behind the chair

Y/n dad: have a sit.

He gestured with his hand and y/n sits

Y/n dad: we have a lot of business to talk about

...

After visiting her dad namjoon found y/n sulking he ask her what's wrong but said it was nothing, she is just feeling tired. She got in bed and hug namjoon, for the last couple of weeks y/n has been sulking.

She started distancing herself from namjoon and everybody else. becoming less affection to namjoon not letting him touch her.

She still did everything her and namjoon usually do but she didn't act herself happy.

Jade: great then is settled I'll prepare everything for you

Jade: I will text you the location later.. bye

Namjoon: bye jade he smile looking at the ring

Time skip~

Namjoon was driving home early, in his mind was wondering why y/n haven't pick up his calls or any of his text messages. He parked his car inside the garage and went inside.

Namjoon: y/n?

He looked around the house but did not find her. He want upstairs to their bedroom.

He opened the door and found y/n, she had a shock face when she saw namjoon, she prepared a suitcase, the room was a mess. Her face was puffy as if she been crying. he stepped inside.

Namjoon: where are you going

Y/N: I'm sorry namjoon I'm leaving you

As she finishes saying those words he felt his heart torn apart

Namjoon: w what... why

Y/N: I'm sorry

Namjoon: whatever it it we can talk and work it out

Y/N: namjoon please don't make this harder then it already is

Namjoon: please don't go whatever it is I did- we can work it out...

Namjoon stop for a moment and remember the ring he quickly took it out his pocket

He got on his knee open the box and and show y/n the ring.

Namjoon: look what i bought ...

Y/n staring at ring and the tears she was trying hard to hold on were released.

Namjoon: I know that ring on you was forced on... and I want to put this ring on you because it was chosen by me

Namjoon: I even prepare a place where I was going to get on my knee and propose

Y/n close her eyes and sob, she tilt her head back and tears ran down her face. She breathy in and out trying to calm herself down. She gulp her throat and looked at namjoon.

Y/N: I'm sorry.. I just don't love you anymore

She grab her suitcase and walk towards the door. Namjoon got up and grab her hand.

Both were silent for a moment namjoon was facing her back, y/n was facing the door

Namjoon:.. y/n

Y/N: please.. let me go

Y/n release herself for namjoon grip and walked out the door. Namjoon stood in place frozen hearing her footsteps fade away he reacted.

He ran out the room, down the stairs and went towards the front door. He saw y/n putting her luggage inside the car. She got inside the car and drove off.

Namjoon lean against the door and slide down the floor. He put his head back against the door. He had one leg up, his arm resting on it holding the box ring.

Tears started falling down he hold up the ring and looked at it.
