Kim told me she wanted us to meet at Burger King tonight cause she wanted to see me. I think it's crazy cause she's the woman that made my life a livin' hell and we never ever talk excepted when I drop and pick up the girls at her house. But whatever, she's still my daughter's mother so I couldn't refuse. I entered in the bathroom as Grace was in it.

"Hey." I said as I put my hands in my pockets.

"Hey." She said as she turned around, smiling brightly.

"Uhm, I'm meeting Kim tonight." I said fearing her reaction.

"Oh.." She turned away from me as she looked down.

I shrugged. "We're just gonna talk."

She walked towards me as she put moisturizing cream on her hands. "What if she wants more than just talking?"

I sighed. "She doesn't like me in this way no more."

She looked up at me. "And you, do you still like her in that way?"

I thought for a moment. "No.."

She stormed outside the bathroom and locked herself in our bedroom. I knocked on the door.

"C'mon, open this fucking door."

"GO SEE KIM!!!" She cried.

Hours later...

[Hailie's P.O.V.]

I was so happy that mom and dad would meet tonight! I mean, I know they hate each other and probably always will but I'm sure if they both make an effort they could get along very well! I wanted to see daddy before his meeting so I walked downstairs and there he was, putting his coat on. I jumped in his arms.

"Don't hurt her okay?" I asked as I hugged him tightly.

He hugged me back. "What do you mean?"

I pulled away. "You know.. Grace."

He shook his head. "Kim doesn't give a shit about Grace."

I giggled and shrugged. "If you say so."

He kissed my cheek and left.

I arrived in Burger King's parking lot. Kim was already there. I entered in and sat at her table, right in front of her.

She smiled. "Hi there."

I looked at her. "Hey."

She cleared her throat. Well of course, it was really awkward. "So, Hailie told me you have a concert tomorrow?"

I nodded. "I do."

She nodded. "And how is your new girl? What's her name... Grace?"

I narrowed my eyes. "I don't think we should talk about her."

She looked down. "You're right."

I looked around. "What do you wanna eat?"

She thought. "I'd like a Chicken Tendercrisp, please."

I nodded and ordered a Chicken Tendercrisp and a Veggie Burger.

After dinner...

We walked to the parking lot, talking and laughing together when we arrived at her car.

She looked at me."There we are... For how long will you leave?"

"Two weeks." I answered.

She smiled. "I'd like us to hang out like this more often."

I shrugged. "Yeah, why not."

We both drove on our own way when I got home.

"Heya." The girls were on the couch watching one of those girly teen shows.

"Daddy!" Whitney ran to me and jumped in my arms.

I picked her up and smiled. "Missed me?"

She nodded as she smiled, wrapping her arms around my neck.
