"Who's Teo Westbrook?" Shawn asked, looking up from his phone.
My head snapped up, "What?"
"Shit, Nova... Teo commented on your Instagram" Affinity said over the facetime. I had my airpods in so Shawn couldn't hear Affinity, but Affinity could hear him.
"Are you gonna tell him?" Affinity asked.
I muted myself and angled my MacBook down.
"Don't worry about him, Shawn. He's just an old friend" I shook my head.
Shawn raised an eyebrow, "Old friend? He commented a peach emoji on your post"
I opened Instagram on my phone and looked for the comment, deleting it immediately.
"Well ignore it. It's not a big deal" I bit my lip. Shawn walked over from the desk to the bed where I was sitting.
"Do I have to worry about him?" Shawn asked, sitting down next to me.
I rolled my eyes, "Seriously?"
"Oh come on. On a scale of 'He's gay' to 'You guys like each other' how much do I have to worry about him stealing my favorite girl" Shawn laughed.
I smiled, shaking my head, "I- Negative 25. As in, I haven't talked to him since last May"
"Perfect" Shawn leaned forward, kissing the corner of my lips and walked back to the desk he was sitting at earlier.
"You're such a tease" I shook my head.
Shawn grinned at me, "You love me nonetheless"
"Mhm" I lifted my laptop screen back up and unmuted myself.
"Did you tell him?"
"Uh sure, is today Thursday?" I changed the subject quickly.
"Yeah and you're coming back tomorrow right?" Affinity asked.
"I am but I haven't even started packing" I sighed.
"Just throw everything in a bag. You have your own room right? Not like you're gonna steal something on accident" Affinity laughed.
"Good point" I nodded.
"Are you gonna shower? It's almost midnight and you have a flight tomorrow morning" Shawn turned around in the chair.
I muttered a profanity under my breath. I was already really tired because the team and I spent the entire afternoon exploring until it was dark.
"Fuck, yeah I need to do that... Fin, do you want to just talk to Shawn? I'm only gonna shower for like ten minutes" I shrugged.
"Sure" Affinity nodded. I disconnected my airpods and turned my laptop to face Shawn. He took it off the bed and brought it over to the desk.

shawn's pov:
"Sooooo..." Affinity trailed off.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Are you doing anything for Valentine's day?" Affinity smirked.
I laughed, shaking my head, "Nova and I are just friends"
"Or whatever" Affinity added.
"What?" I asked.
"She told me about the 'or whatever' part where you guys hold hands and cuddle..." Affinity raised an eyebrow.
"She's not allowed to date. Anyways, who's Teo Westbrook exactly?" I asked Affinity. I was genuinely curious and if anyone was going to know, it would be her best friend.
"Oh, I thought Nova told you earlier?" Affinity furrowed her eyebrows. I turned around as I heard the water turn on in the shower.
I shook my head, "She didn't tell me much"
"Oh, uh... How much do you know?" Affinity tilted her head.
I shrugged, "Obviously he's comfortable with her. But, they haven't talked since last year"
"Well that's bound to happen when someone breaks up with you. Nova met him through like some of her celebrity friends or something. He was on that super popular Nickelodeon show a few years back. I remember watching him on it when we were kids. But, he turned 18 and she was barely 16. If you ask me, he's a dick and she should've left him blocked" Affinity explained.
I blinked, going over what Affinity said. "Wait, go back. Broke up?" I asked.
"Did I say break up? I didn't mean break up" Affinity shook her head.
"Then why would it matter if he was 18 if they weren't dating?" I questioned.
"It doesn't" Affinity tried playing it off.
"Come on, Affinity. I'm not dumb. They dated?" I asked, my jaw clenched.
"Is that a bad thing?" Affinity asked slowly.
"She just... she told me that she wasn't down to lie to her mom about this stuff but she had a boyfriend before. So she was willing to lie" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I have to go," I told Affinity.
"Wait, Shawn, let me ex-" I ended the facetime on Nova's MacBook. I wrote her a quick note saying that I was tired and I left her room.
