"I heard a rumor..." Affinity trailed off.
Shawn and I looked at each other warily, noticing her tone. "Continue" Shawn nodded slowly.
"So, you know how I still talk to Kira... from Thundermans" Affinity said slowly.
I shifted uncomfortably and I could feel Shawn's grip tighten possessively around my waist.
"Don't tell me... I'm competing here tomorrow and I'm not gonna be at my best if I know something about Teo" I shook my head.
"No, you're gonna wanna know this" Affinity nodded. I pursed my lips, nodding.
"I heard from Kira that he's gonna be here tomorrow" Affinity said, "Like at the comp"
"What?" Shawn sat up.
"Why?" I asked quietly.
"Kira said that he wants to talk to you," Affinity replied.
"Well I'm not gonna let him" Shawn shook his head. I bit my lip to stop it from quivering.
"Remember what I told him last time he tried to talk to you?" Affinity asked. I nodded.
"I really think you should go through with it. Law enforcement is there for a reason, Nov" Affinity nodded.
I shook my head, "No. Absolutely not"
"Shawn, back me up here" Affinity looked desperate.
"I agree with Affinity but... if you don't want to, you don't have to," Shawn shook his head.
"I'm not doing it. I'm not. If I see him, I'm just gonna turn the other way" I nodded.
"Okay... well I just thought you should know in case you do bump into him" Affinity nodded.
I managed a weak smile, "Thanks, Fin"

I shook my hands and paced back and forth as I waited to compete. The boys were finishing up their first two rotations which meant that I would be going up soon.
"Hey" Maile O'Keefe nodded at me, "We're going out now" I nodded and stood up, walking out from the locker rooms.
"Go wait in line to warm up on the vault" My mom directed me to the vault. There were a few gymnasts ahead of me. I looked around the stands, finding Shawn and Affinity sitting with Lauren, who only arrived this morning. I quickly did my warm-up vault.
