To be honest, the whole Angelo situation felt like a drug-induced blur to you.
You never fought a person before, let alone a stand user, and so being dragged by Jotaro around the house as he and Josuke tried to locate their adversary seemed like something out of a dream. Both of them were stressed while trying to shut off the different sinks or kettles as steam poured out of them. You, Jotaro, and Josuke now stood in the living room with sweat dripping down your faces as you all scrambled around the house. A look of shock came over Jotaro's face when the two of you made eye contact.
"(y/n)!" Water filled your throat as if you were drowning on dry land. You tried to cough it out, but the viscous fluid was thick like syrup and only burrowed further down towards your lungs. "Shit!" Jotaro yelled out with gritted teeth. Josuke's sapphire eyes were narrowed in fury, but he was sure that Crazy Diamond could break into your chest before Angelo drowned you. Your vision was blurry with black spots in it...your lungs ached and burned like they were set ablaze...you felt completely powerless.
"I got this."
The comforting voice of Kakyoin soothed your worries as all of a sudden Angelo's stand was thrown from your throat and onto the floor, you sputtering into a painful cough as you croaked for air. You had fallen to your knees, and Jotaro was the first to check on you as he helped you get back to your feet. The six foot five muscular mass of a man glanced down at your swollen lips for half a second only to see a glimpse of an emerald glow hidden within the dark chasm of your mouth. It vanished as quickly as it came, and the three of you were on the move yet again.
"Are you alright (y/n)?!" Josuke blurted out before Jotaro had the chance to ask. You nodded while rubbing your sore throat, eyes watering from the pain of being suffocated.
"Get this bastard Josuke," the slightly raspy remnants of your voice inspired the sixteen year old who nodded at you with vigor.
"Absolutely."
Jotaro on the other hand felt a sharp pain in his chest with anxiety. It had been a while since he faced a stand user in battle and each fight never made it easier. The traumatic events of Egypt left a stain on his heart and no matter how many wins he had under his belt, he always felt that fear of death slowly creep up his spine. He watched the way you writhed in agony while drowning...he was there to retrieve you when you were shot with the stand arrow, blood pooling out of your chest and back...you nearly died twice in just a week and yet you smiled at him with reddened eyes and small tear streams down your cheeks.
"Let's go Jotaro." Not much surprised Jotaro Kujo these days...but seeing a woman he assumed was frail reach for his hand despite being completely unarmed and unaware of her own abilities was a level of emotional strength he had seen only a few times before...when he had friends who traveled halfway across the world with him to save a woman they didn't even know.
"You're tougher than you look," Jotaro remarked as he squeezed your hand lightly. You snorted in response, moving quickly with Jotaro in tow to get to Josuke.
"I guess I'm going to have to be if I keep knocking on death's door every week."
"I won't let that happen," Jotaro cut in quickly. Kakyoin had saved your life twice now...and Jotaro was ready to step up to the plate and surpass him.
~~
Surprised was one word to describe how you felt. Another would be annoyed.
"So...catching Angelo was that easy?" Josuke was gripping a rubber glove that had trapped Angelo's stand, Aqua Necklace, inside. The four of you, including Angelo, were not far from Josuke's front yard near a giant boulder that had been planted there some time long ago. Said villain gritted his teeth while incapacitated due to Josuke holding his stand...and he glared at you with murderous intent.
