'Xy's Secret'

"Oh, my baby." Agad na kinuha ni Addie si Simon mula kay Seth at niyakap ito. Simon was still asleep kaya agad siyang dinala ni Addie sa kwarto at pinatulog na ito. Matthew explained to the ladies about what happened habang sumalampak naman sa sofa sina Xy.

"So, you're saying that it's the same wolf that saved you yesterday?" Tanong ni Keya kina Wilder.

"That's weird," sabi naman ni Celise kaya tumingin agad ang iba sa kanya. "Because if that was a deity, isang beses lang kasi silang tumutulong sa mga nilalang dito sa realm. It's just weird that it helped you guys and now, Simon. And if it was the same deity, it's weirder because some deities only reside on a certain part of the realm." Mas lalong kumunot ang noo ng iba dahil sa sinabi ni Celise.

"No, Celise. What you're referring to are guardians. Like guardians of the waterfall, guardians of the mountains and etcetera. Deities are different. They guard the whole realm, just like Time." Paglilinaw ng Tito Matthew niya sa kanya pero napailing lang si Celise.

"I know that. But it's just weird to see the same wolf helping our family," sagot ni Celise.

"It can't be just a coincidence, right?" Tanong ni Keya sa kanila.

"It helped you kids and now it helped baby Simon. Maybe that deity is just very helpful," aniya at nagkatinginan naman ang iba pero mahinang natawa si Xin kaya tumingin sila rito.

"Keya, we know how deities are. Let's not fool ourselves. They like to play with us so let's take this incident as a warning. If that wolf shows up again, it only means that we're being the target of their playground again," sabi ni Xin at uminom ng tubig mula sa ref.

Everyone looked at her. The woman who got played by the deities for so many times and was even used by them.

"But Time promised not to interfere with your life, right? Kaya nga hindi na natin siya nakikita ng tatlong taon dahil baka tinigilan ka na nila," sabi ni Milo habang nakatalikod lang si Xin sa kanila at umiinom parin ng tubig at nakabukas pa ang itaas na parte ng ref.

"Yeah, of course. She promised me that kaya nananahimik siya. So quiet that even Hades went quiet too." Mahinang sabi ni Xin at dahan-dahan nang sinara ang pinto ng ref tsaka yumuko.

"We've lived a luxurious life after all your suffering. Xy and Wilder grew up well. We welcomed new members to the family and the realm's doing fine," sabi ni Dino at tumango naman ang iba. Among all the creatures in the realm, they thought that luck favored them the most.

They're the wealthiest, most powerful, most influential and a family filled with immortals. They're the elite of the elite and they couldn't ask for more.

"Yeah, everything's fine. It's fine." Kumunot na ang noo ni Jun dahil sa mga sinasabi ni Xin kaya dahan-dahan niya itong nilapitan at hinawakan ang balikat nito habang nakayuko parin ito.

"T-The babies are healthy. None of us are sick. We eat three meals a day and sleep soundly at night. Everything's fine." Humigpit na ang pagkakahawak ni Jun sa balikat ni Xin nung makita niyang may pumatak na tubig sa carpet kaya agad niyang pinaharap si Xin sa kanya at nabigla ang lahat nung makita umiiyak pala ito.

"E-Everything's fine. It's fine. I-I.. I just don't know why I'm crying." Wen Junhui wanted to curse whoever made his woman cry like this. Agad niyang niyakap si Xin at hinaplos ang likod nito.
