After we finished killing the titans in our area we went to other groups to help them. I made sure to kill the titans there and make it safe so that the evacuees could take shelter there. I noticed Armin from the corner of my eyes siting down, his back facing the chimney, a few hundred meters away. "I found someone" I said before rushing over to him. "Hey, Armin wake up!" I shook him. He feels slimy..why? He opened his eyes after a few seconds and looked at me with a blank face.
"Are you hurt? Where is everyone in your group? Did something happen?" I asked worriedly. He came to his senses and suddenly screamed loudly. He cried like an infant as he buried his face on my lap. I was confused of what happened but I kept on rubbing his back. I looked around for Eren and Mikasa but none of them was in sight. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here. Jule's here. Have you seen Eren or Mikasa?" I asked. He was mumbling something but I could not understand clearly.
I noticed a titan running over to a large group of people to were trying to go through the tunnel. Shit! I have to help them but- I looked at Armin's shaking body. "You guys! Go-" I shouted to the group near me but soon stopped when i saw Mikasa approaching and then slashed the titan's neck. Thank God. I sighed in relief.
Flashback
"It's been a while since they went outside, why haven't they came back?" Carla asked worriedly as I helped her with dinner. "They'll come home soon, don't worry" I reassured her before walking towards the table. I heard the door open causing me to look at the door. "See? I told you they'd-" i blinked a couple of times seeing a petite girl standing beside Eren. "Are they back? Jesus these boys make me worried sic-" Carla also did the same as me.
"This is Mikasa, Mikasa Ackermann. She'll be living with us from today" Grisha said coming inside. "Why do i feel like this has happened before..." Carla muttered from beside me. Mmm? While Grisha and Carla talked with each other, I took Mikasa inside with me to my room. "Let's get you cleaned up, shall we?" i said as i removed the scarf around her neck. This seems familiar... I put the scarf on the bed and pulled Mikasa with me to the washroom. After bathing her properly, I gave her a few clothes of mine to wear.
"Thank.. you.." she said, her voice hoarse. "It's alright actually. Besides, i always wanted to have younger siblings" i said as i dried her hair. "My name is Jules Bert, but you can call me Jules" i smiled sweetly at the girl. "Jules..." she murmured softly. Ohhh she's very cute! "Dinners done already so let's go have some food" i took her hand and went towards the dining table.
"Ohh she looks very cute in this" Carla said as she gushed over Mikasa. "You're still wearing the scarf? It's dirty, wash before you wear" Eren said as he took a bite of his bread. "How rude" i flicked his forehead. "Haha, kids really do lighten up your house" Grisha said as he ate his supper. Later that night Eren told me what happened with Mikasa. "That was very dangerous!" my eyes widened a bit. "But... you did a good job protecting her" i patted his head as the girl beside me fell deep into sleep. "Now it's your turn to sleep you brat" i said as i carried Eren to his bed. "Story! Story!" he chirped while i tucked him in bed. "Only one! Long time ago...".
End of flashback
Areh? Why am I remembering these now? I thought as i looked at the surroundings near me.
