"Sorry you're stuck with my horse" Eren said from beside me. "It's alright, i don't mind" i smiled at him. "Yeah, you need to rest Eren" Connie said. "Don't say his name, idiot!" Sasha whispered loudly. "Oh yeah, sorry" Connie apologised instantly. "Titan on the left! Everyone halt!" Jean shouted causing us all to stop. "It's alright, he's fast asleep" Hangi said causing us to breath a sigh of relief. "I can't believe we didn't see it till that close up" Eren sighed. "Yeah, this moonlight must be protecting us" I looked up at the sky.
"Jules" Erwin called out. "Coming" I replied before handing Mikasa the ropes. I noticed Eren's hand shaking so i signalled Armin with my eyes. He understood the sign and immediately came forward. I smiled at the trio before flying over to Erwin. "You can hear the river right? I need you to check" he said. I nodded at his words and went off. "I can see the foot! There are signs of trails!" I told the troops after a while when i confirmed it. We are finally back, back to our hometown.
It was almost dawn time since we started moving on horses. "Be on guard for Titans hiding in the shadows! Our operation begins now! All troops, switch to ODM gear!" Erwin shouted before signalling me. I went up and scanned the entire field for titans so that the other squads can get inside the wall without any difficulties. This is weird, there's no titan around...
Something caught my eye while crossing the wall. These are the remnants of fire.. Oh no, they might close! I looked below and noticed something else causing me to inspect it. I gasped in shock before flying over to Erwin without wasting any breath. "They were camping. The pot was cold and the lights were scattered on ground. Also there were three cups with drops of black liquid in it. Atleast three people were here" I said rubbing my head in frustration. "You can say that they knew we were coming and had plenty of time to prepare" Armin added. "Yeah, i feel the same"
I left Erwin and Armin to themselves as they planned a strategy while i moved on to my work. A sudden shooting sound caught my attention. Red flare? We need to halt the mission? I narrowed my eyes at Erwin who shot the flare before looking around the place. All the troops were standing on top of the wall by now. Only one squad, which i reckon being led by Armin, was checking the walls thoroughly. Did you figure something out Armin..?
Another red flare?! "Here! There's a cavity here!" the guy who shot the flare shouted. As i looked down to see what he was talking about, a blade was instantly stabbed on his chest from the hole. What the- "Reiner!" Levi shouted as he boosted towards the hole and stuck his blade into his neck. I followed Levi and jumped down the wall as well and saw him piercing another blade into his chest. Final- Huh?! I immediately grabbed Levi by his waist as he released the blades and stood still on air while Reiner fell down. "Is that another Titan power?!" Levi said frustratedly as we watched Reiner.
He turned into a Titan which alerted us all. "Keep on the lookout! Locate his alli-" Erwin suddenly stopped shouting causing me to fly back to the top with Levi. I looked over his shoulder and saw hundreds of lightning struck the ground. What the- I stepped out of the wall and floated on air as i narrowed my eyes. T-That's the beast titan! What is he- my eyes widened immediately. "Boulder incoming! Everybody get down!" I shouted turning back to the team. Thankfully no one was hurt but the entrance was plugged. What an aim.. are trying to corner us? Let's see then, which side lives and which side perishes!
