chapter twenty two

i walked into my room and closed the door behind me.

i grabbed the brush off my dresser and began to brush through my blow dried hair, trying my best to remove all the knots. after a minute or so i had done the best i could do and put the brush back down, turning my head at the sound of my door opening. bella walked in, hairdryer in hand. i heard the shower start up once more as val was the last person who needed to use it. she walked over to the outlet near my vanity and plugged it in. she sat in the chair and turned it on, creating a loud echo though the room. i walked over to the mirror eleanor was using so that i could put on my makeup and jewelry as well. during the midst of this all, val came into the room and swapped with bella, now drying her own hair. i looked at the clock and saw we had about twenty more minutes before we were supposed to meet the guys downstairs. i decided to change into my dress now just because i had nothing else i needed to do. i grabbed the dress and walked into my closet, avoiding the bathroom so george wouldn't get a glimpse of what i had on. i emerged a few minutes later and twirled around as they all gave me a round of applause as i jokingly curtsied. we all laughed as eleanor got up to change into her dress as well. she went back into my closet as val and bella grabbed their dresses and walked into opposite corners of my room. they got changed and i completed my look by putting my earrings on. once everyone was done, we walked over to my big mirror and looked into it. we all smiled as we look in the mirror.

"we look good." val said and we all agreed. "let's go show them!" she added on. we all took a deep breath and i opened up the door, walking into the hallway and looking over the balcony. i saw all the boys standing in the living room, waiting for us to come down.

"are you guys ready?" i yelled down the stairs. they looked up and gave me a thumbs up, i made sure my head was the only thing visible to them as i called out again, "close your eyes!" they all closed their eyes as i walked back into my room to grab my friends. i told them to follow me and we made our way down the stairs. once we got to the living room, we all stood in a small line together, laughing at the guys in front of us.

"okay, on the count of three." bella said looking at all of us.

"one, two, three, open!" we all said in unison as they boys opened their eyes, squinting as the light adjusted. we all looked at them with smiles on our faces as all of their eyes widened.

they looked at us for a few seconds. before george spoke up first.

"wow. you look..." he struggled to find the words as nick cut him off

"amazing."

"like really." clay added on.

"i can't believe you pulled this off in a day." tommy said. we all smiled at the words of admiration and broke into the pairs.

"y/n, you look incredible." george stepped back slightly to look at me and i felt a blush rising in my cheeks.

"why thank you george." i said giving him a smile and twirling around. i laughed as i brought my body in closer to his, feeling his arms wrap around my waist as we swayed slightly left to right. i looked around and saw clay looking at val, the two of them laughing as he spun her around. i shifted to the right and saw tommy and bella. tommy looking into her eyes as their foreheads touched, smiles on both their faces. i turned my head one more time to see eleanor and nick, they were caught up in each other's arms, eyes locked. i turned back to george.

"do you really like it?" i asked as i step out of his arms, holding my own slight above my sides.

"y/n. i love it." a big smile creeped onto my face as the other groups made their way to us, standing in front of the door.
