"Pta nhi Sameer ji kado aan ge.." (Pta nhi Sameer ji kab aayenge), Naina was roaming around the hall and kitchen, restlessly waiting for her hubby, and it was 11:30 pm by now. Suddenly a sound of car rang in her ears and she came to know that it was Sameer.

Sameer came inside, totally frustrated due to his work load. He got rid of his blazer annoyingly and threw it on the sofa, while loosening his tie. She immediately understood that it was not the time to talk anything about her first day in office. But still she had to ask about the dinner, so she took slow steps towards him. "Sameer ji khana laga du?" She spoke out of love, maybe to calm him down.

"Khana? Wo toh maine kha liya Naina ji..voh shaadi se pehle bhi mai ghar se na leke jaata tha aur dinner bhi kabhi kabhi bahr karta tha" he replied casually, but unintentionally hurting her.

"Atleast apne lunch toh kar hi liya hoga na??" She asked being unsure.

"Oh shoot!!!!! Mujhe toh yaad hi nhi rha ki mere paas lunch bhi tha..mujhe adat nhi hai na..maine mom ko bhi strictly mana kiya hua tha lunch dene se.. because I don't have time in the lunch break too" he replied realising. He totally forgot about the hardwork that his wife did specially for him early in the morning.

"Offo..chalo koi nhi ji..aap mujhe vo lunch de dijiye mai dekhti hu uska kya karna hai" she said in a cold, yet hurt voice that unfortunately got unnoticed by him because of the tiredness.

"Naina ji mai sone jaa rha hu..boht thakaan ho gyi hai..good night ji" he said in a tiring voice, not realising that she too had not eaten the dinner because of him, and went upstairs.

She had been waiting for him for three hours, but what he did! He just came with a frustrating mood and casually went upstairs without even asking her if she had her food or not, without even asking about her first day in the office, and without even assuring her if there was any problem, he would solve it and stand for her. Although he didn't plan to hurt her in anyway, but unknowingly she got badly hurt by his actions.

"Sameer ji ne Mainu poocheya vi nhi kisi cheez baare, ohna ne khana vi nhi khada..mai ohna layi svere uthke aloo de prothe banaye..par ohna ne taste tak nhi keete" (Sameer ji ne mujhe poocha bhi nhi kisi cheez ke baare me, unhone khana bhi nhi khaya..maine unke liye subah uthke aloo ke parathe banaye..par unhone taste tak nhi kiye), her inner voice said. But soon she started thinking that, "Fer ki hoya Naina..oh bhull gye hon ge, ohna nu adat thodi na hai lunch lai ke jaan di, tu tension na le, ajj ohna nu boht kamm si te oh hun thakke hon ge..kal fer normal ho jaan ge" (Toh kya hua Naina..vo bhool gye honge, unko adat thodi na hai lunch leke jaane ki, tu tension mat le, aaj unko boht kaam tha aur ab vo boht thake honge..kal se fir normal ho jaayenge), her heart said to assure her, but inside her heart sank too. Not thinking about it much, she went near the sofa and took his blazer in her hands. She was about to go upstairs when her phone started ringing. She picked it up as it was Preeti's phone.

"Hello Naina.. kaisi hai behen!!" She said in a chirpy voice.

"Mai theek hu..tu kaisi hai" she said.

"Tujhe ek good news deni thi..meri shaadi fix ho gyi hai!!" She didn't waste time.

"Kya!! Sachi!!! Kisse??" Naina's gloomy mood got replaced by joy. She was on cloud nine.

"Unka naam Raghav hai!! And guess what! Vo jija ji ke best friend hain! Toh jab mai Canada aaungi tab hum dono firse ek saath wakt bits sakte hain!! Shaadi do mahino me hai..par fir bhi ek baar sure ho jau mai unke baare me..tabhi mai courtship kar rhi hu..tujhe toh pehle hi pta chal gya hoga na jija ji se..par fir bhi mujhe laga ek baar personally batadu tujhe" she said. She was about to say something more but someone called her so she bid a bye to her and hung up without receiving more reaction from her bestie.

"Sameer ji enna vi ki thak gye jo mainu eh veyah baare Dasna hi jaruri nhi samjheya" (Sameer ji itna bhi kya thak gya jo mujhe iss shaadi ke baare me batana hi zaroori nhi samjha), she thought, but she could do nothing about it. She stood there for a while, defending for her own thoughts and somewhere trying to find a positive thing in this situation, and then headed upstairs to sleep.

It had been one week now, since they had started living in Canada. It had become a routine of Sameer to come at late night, sometimes he used to have dinner with her and sometimes not, so she had started eating without him too. She never showed her feelings about how she felt when he didn't tell her about the wedding news.

Although he told her about that when remembered, but the thing was not that he forgot, the thing was that she was not at that place where Sameer would not even forget to share anything with her even in his dreams, just like his parents and close friends. But soon she felt and realised that it would definitely take time for both of them to create their own place in each other's heart, so she happily convinced her mind with the help of her golden heart.

It had been one week, since she had started ADJUSTING with the situations, but she never made him realise anything. But on a good note, she had started liking him by seeing his other gestures towards her. Though he failed to have look at how she had started ADJUSTING herself only for him, but he was also trying his best, okay, not his best, but he was atleast trying to make her feel comfortable around him, to light up her mood whenever he figured out that she was melancholic, and also trying to respect her at some point. He loved her, but his love was not that immense, his love was not that selfless, and his love was not that faithful, at that time. Both of them were not at that stage of love, where they would understand each other that deeply, where they would feel each and each other's needs without words or explanations, and where there would be no barrier of ADJUSTMENTS between them, it had to take long for these things to come true.

On a fine day, Sameer got free early that usual from his work, he arrived at 7:30 pm, but still Naina was there in the home before him. As soon as he came inside, he found no one ther in the hall. Thinking that Naina must have gone for a walk nearby, he thought to go and rest in the bedroom. The time when he entered their room, he saw that the lights were off, giving full enterence to the sunset light from outside to flash on her moon like face. Then his eyes went to Naina who was resting on the bed holding a hot water bag on her belly, with closed eyes and tension lines on her forehead, totally not being aware about his presence.

He then instantaneously came to know that she was on her periods. It was very normal for him as he was not raised up in India, where this topic made most of the people (especially the ones with orthodox thinking) uncomfortable to even talk about it. He decided not to disturb her, so went to freshen up.
