Heheheh. Welcome.
Quick thing I forgot to mention; This story will be in third person, but each chapter will have one specific person to hear the thoughts of.
Nick's Thoughts
—————Two boys, best friends since childhood, sat in one of the other's rooms playing Minecraft. The pair were both concentrated on a Bedwars game, silence despite little noises of annoyance when one would die or warnings to each other. They were so concentrated that one jumped slightly and lost his rhythm when the other spoke up, resulting in his final death, the other soon follows.
"Nick, what day is it?"
"Uh..." There was a pause, probably from the black-haired 17 year old to check his phone. "December 27th, why?"
"It's almost Birthday. It's our 18th too."
Nick rolled his chair in a circle, propping his head upon his hand, and crossing one leg over on the other knee to look at his best friend. The boy he thought was beautiful.
The boy I know is meant to be mine. He smiled softly, imagining the smaller boy's name on his wrist, his excitement to know that his thoughts weren't empty hope, his friend's excitement to know who his soulmate was... Not many people are born near their soulmates. The lucky ones at least take a month to find. Nick knew his luck wasn't always great, but he was confident about this one thing.
Nick blinked, getting pulled back into reality by his friend's brown eyes looking over and past his signature white clout goggles at him. The raven-haired boy smiled softly again, getting a bright grin in return.
"I'm so excited to know my soulmate's name! To meet them..." George sighed, looking back down at the ground with a slight smile on his face. "...I hope...you..." The brunette murmured inaudibly, but exciting the taller male by the three words he did manage to hear.
He loves me back. He has to! This is destiny, we're destiny!
Nick sighed too, his soft smile face turning into a grin that could challenge George's earlier one as he spun back around and flopped his head on the back of his chair. His visions rushed back in, this time moving further past the initial recognition. They would text each other, double-checking that they had the correct name, then they would meet up at their favorite spot, the Café De Dream. George would probably get their first, seeing as he ran faster than the taller boy and lived closer. Still, Nick would arrive only a minute or two after, driven by his excitement. They would lock eyes across the room and would run towards each other. George would jump slightly, getting caught by Nick and pulled into a hug.
...Ah, there's my hidden inner anime school girl. Nick inwardly rolled his eyes at himself. He just knew it would be great. Probably better than he could ever imagine.
Unfortunately, Nick was so sure that George was his. He didn't count for the unfamiliar name on George's and his own wrists the morning of the Birthday when the pair had removed the coverings on their right forearms the pair had promised each other they would wear.
He hardly glanced at his name, seeing as it was not "George," instead glaring at the four black letters that spelled the wrong name on the other's wrist.
Clay.

Hello! Sorry, this is super short. The rest will be at least 1k words. It's just 1am on a Wednesday night while I have no motivation to write. I also just wanted to write something, so I wouldn't leave y'all hanging too long.
Hope y'all somewhat liked it. May rewrite when my vision blurs less, and my eyes will stay open longer than 20 seconds.
