Ali was sitting in front of me while watching me, I pretended so busy typing on my MacBook. He gently pushed the fruit shake on the side, I haven't eaten anything yet since he just showed up here before my order arrived.
"What are you doing here?" I asked simply.
"I just wanna see you," his voice was low and raspy.
Sinadya niya na naman ako rito sa university gaya last week. Gawain niya talaga iyan kapag may libreng oras, I find it sweet but I'm still thinking about us and Lexus... basta, ang dami kong problema sa buhay at nakakahilong isipin. I wanted to be with him and talk but I feel so guilty because Lexus was in the frame.
I sipped on my frappe and looked at him, he's wearing a pair of casual black shirt and jeans today — far from his every day office attire. His black hair was undercut and silky, his eyes are always gentle and caring. He has soft features that made him look angelic in any sides.
I still couldn't believe that he's related to Bhatie and Arki that I have been hanging out with these past weeks, kung hindi pa kami unexpected na nagkasama sa isang circle last time!
Actually, we had a two-year relationship but it was in US where I wasn't that relevant. Pamilya ko lang ang nakakaalam, we were both open to both sides when I turned eighteen but we were together since seventeen.
"Naisip mo na ba iyong mga pinagsasabi mo, huh?" nanliit ang mga mata ko dahil naiinis pa rin talaga ako sa mga terms niya sa text noong nakaraan.
His eyes softened, he looked down. "I got carried away but I'm sorry... I thought you really did that to hurt me and give up on you."
"I didn't cheat on you," I said sternly. "We've broken up before I dated him for real and we were already sinking. He was just a friend."
He sighed and nodded, hilig niyang paglaruan iyong daliri niya sa lamesa kapag kabado at walang masabi kaya inirapan ko.
"If you don't have anything to say now, I don't want you here — you can leave me alone."
"Sungit." He chuckled lightly. "Can we talk more?"
I glared at him. "We're already over, you know? I've told you about Lexus, what more do we need to talk about?"
"You're still thinking about it, right?"
I didn't answer.
"Hindi mo na ba ako mahal?"
My heart started clenching, I took a deep breath and just looked at him. He shrugged hesitantly and chuckled softly, he looked hurt.
"Wala na bang chance?" muli niyang subok habang malamlam ang mga mata sa akin.
I smirked humorlessly. "I don't know why are you chasing me now, it seems like you're so guilty because you got me first."
Ali was nothing but a good boyfriend, he had my firsts and it feels like he's just making it as a responsibility.
His eyes narrowed a bit, he tsked and shook his head. "It's not like that, Leorine. I just wanna fix everything between us because I still love you. Two years... I wanted more."
