Anyone could tell something was up with me as I kept frolicking around in the store grooving to my playlist from my earphones. Adrian had chosen me over his inner complexes and I couldn't be more grateful. I didn't know what he was dealing with but I am sure he would share with me someday.

I kept checking the time every few minutes to calculate the time before I met him. Hell, I had even by the seconds. He was going to pick me up from work and we were going out for our first date. I texted Mia that I wouldn't be having dinner at home tonight. She asked why but I didn't reply. I wanted to tell her in person.

As the clock struck 6; I made a swift exit, wishing Mrs. Stillman a quick goodbye as I swung the exit door. I waited for Adrian at the sidewalk and texted him. Slouching my head from my phone screen, I saw him approach on Cole's motor bike. That bike really made him look ten times more formidable and sexier. I rolled my eyes internally. Why was I turning into one of those sappy girls who found everything about their crush sexy?

"Hey you are exactly on time.", I feigned appreciation,

"I like to be where I am expected at the right moment.", he boasted.

"By the way, I love the bike."

"I knew you would like it. Want to try it out before we dine?"

"Not today. I have something else planned."

"What is it?"

"You get to driving, I'll give you directions."

"You better not be taking me to some shady place."

"Really? Is that what you think about me?"

"You can fool the world with your goody two shoes image, not me."

"Come on. When have I ever broken any rules?"

"Not to my knowledge, but I know you want to." What can I say, he got me.

"Now take a left after the red light and then go slow."

Adrian was trying to intimidate me with his faster than light speed. Little did he know that I was a sucker for bike rides and adventures. The faster he drove, the tighter I held on to his waist. Leaning against his frame and holding him like that was such a surreal yet the most relaxing feeling. My hair flew with the wind and the stress emanated from my body. I closed my eyes to feel the wind tickling my hair. I dare not imagine how my mom would react if I told her I rode with a boy on a motor bike at that speed. She would castrate me.

Adrian took the left turn bringing the speed down. I told him to dive into the parking lot on the left. We bought a parking receipt and he parked his bike.

"Please tell me what are we doing at Walmart?" he enquired irritatingly.

"We are going grocery shopping." I announced.

"What! You bought me to buy you groceries on our first date? You are even a terrible romantic than I thought of myself.", he grilled me.

"You aren't buying me shit. We are going to buy our own respective groceries."

"Why but? Are you out of groceries? Ginna, I would have seriously reconsidered dating you if you had warned me about taking me to Walmart on our first date out of all the beautiful places in Ann Arbor.", he whined.

"Will you please shut up for once. I am taking you out on a grocery shopping expedition so that I can get to know your tastes better. You know; your likes, dislikes, preferences and all those tiny details that I know nothing about. And FYI even you don't know much about me. This way we can get to know each other better." I made a reasonable comeback.
