Adrian's POV
I borrowed Cole's bike and flew it at a speed which jammed my blood flow, desperate to reach before my girl went away on her ride. I felt like a prince on a white horse racing away to abduct his princess and elope with her to some foreign land. Only in my story, there was no prince and no white horse just a sorry assed boyfriend with a borrowed bike on his way to express his undying love for his lady love. Nothing was going to stop me today. Not even the thawing snow on the road or the freezing wind hitting my body. I had to make up with Ginna today. I couldn't go on another day without telling her how I felt about her and having her by my side again.
I made it to the airport in half time and rushed to the terminal. I tried searching for her everywhere, rummaging the entire seating area and the stores as well, but I couldn't spot her anywhere. Finally, my gaze rested on a Starbucks at the corner which spurted my hopes. Never had I felt so thankful for the existence of Starbucks. Thank you, Starbucks!
I dashed my way into the dining, plummeting several people on my way, not bothering to apologize or wait for their unsavory reaction. I was on cloud-nine when my eyes landed on Ginna. She was accompanied by Mia and Andy who were sipping their beverages while deep in discussion.
I ran my hand through my hair to make myself look presentable and adjusted the creases to my shirt. I knew Ginna had a thing for guys who wore plain shirts which is why I had chosen her favorite white shirt to go with my pair of blue washed jeans. I walked confidently to their table and stood right in front of them. I gauged their reaction which by the looks of it was true to my expectations. All of them looked stupefied before they masked the shock from their face. Mia and Andy had gotten over their initial shock and were now looking at Ginna, waiting for her to respond. They alternated their gazes between Ginna and I until Ginna had completely studied the scene before her and was ready to react.
"Adrian! What are you doing over here?", she sounded startled and a little loud too.
"I need to tell you something, Ginna. Could you accompany me outside for a few minutes?", I asked eagerly.
"What is left to say now?", she sounded sarcastic.
"A lot of things. Just hear me out okay? Can we talk privately please?"
She shared dubious glances with Andy and Mia until she finally blinked at both and decided to follow me out of the café. We stood behind a boulder where there wasn't much noise to distract us. I stood across her, the deafening silence killing both of us until I decided to drop my previous plan and act on my instinct.
I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer to me. She creased her brows exhibiting her confusion, but she didn't pull back or push me away. I looked into her beautiful eyes reading the dilemma behind them. Finally, I pressed my lips to hers and took her face in my hands, lathering her cheeks with my fingers. She hesitated a bit before kissing me back and placing her arm around my waist. Kissing Ginna was my release. She kissed me back fervently like she was starving, and my lips were water. The kiss lacked no action. It was hard, rough, long, and urgent. I could be doing this all day long after how badly I had missed her. Her lips brushed against mine as she took her own time exploring my mouth as if she was revising every cranny of my being. I was hungry for her taste as I let my tongue encompass every accessible corner of her mouth. I asked for entrance in her mouth which she happily obliged along with crushing her against the boulder and delving deep in the kiss. We had forgotten to breath as I kept on plundering on the moistness of her soft lips and a soft moan escaped from her lips. I feasted on her lips like a starving man and poured in every ounce of my feelings for her into the kiss to tell her how badly I had missed her and that I never wanted her to be anywhere but in my arms. We had forgotten all about our surroundings and in that moment, I just focused on having her and ravishing her lips. The way she was responding to me was all I needed to blurt those three words out. I broke the kiss with a last peck on her lips and stood across her.
