Broken Ties.

Part 2

Asim came home with the cake divya sent for yuvika and mahira.
He sneeked into Yuvika's room.
Yuvika was listening to music. And she didn't notice when Asim came inside.
Asim: Yuvika...
Yuvika got frieghtened and looked back.
Yuvika: Asim mat karna aise.
She had tears in her eyes.
Asim felt bad. After yuvika got kidnapped,she gets scared very easily.
Asim: I am sorry di, mujhe laga aapne mujhe dekha.
Yuvika: Koi baat nahi, bol kya hua.
Asim: Pehle mahira ko bhi bulaiye idhar.
Yuvika called Mahira.
Mahira: Kya hua Asim, yaar kitna achha sapna dekh rahi thi main. Ki mujhe best actress ka award mila aur tune utha diya.
Asim and yuvika chuckled.
Asim: Tab to maine aur thik kiya tumhe utha kar. aaj main bhai se milne gaya tha na to divya cake bake kar rahi thi. Usne tum logo ke liye bhi bheja hai.
Both mahira and yuvika had a generous smile on their faces.
Asim opened the parcel and gave it to them.
Mahira took the first bite.
Mahira: Mmmm delicious.
Yuvika: Yeah it's very tasty. Kash main use khud bta sakti. How is she?
Asim: Thik hai wo. Bhai bhi aap dono ke bare me puch rahe the. Maine to kaha ki ye mahira ka padhai wadhai pe bilkul dhyan ni rehta.
Yuvika: To unhone kya kaha?
Asim: Kaha ki she should follow her passions
Mahira: Dekha, wo hi mere bhai hai. Tu to pata nahi kaha se aa gaya hai.
Asim: Main? Ruk batata hun tujhe.
They started pillow fight.
Yuvika smiled looking at them.

Scene shift to America:.
A girl was sitting in a large bedroom in her king sized bed with a box of pizza beside her, and a slice of it in her hand. She was looking through something in her laptop.
Girl: I am done. India. Mujhe india jaana hai. Mmmmoooommmmm.
Mom: Kya hua shehnaaz itni zor se kyu chillati hai. You'll wake the neighbors.
Yes guys, she is Shehnaaz.
Sana: Mumma maine decide kar liya mujhe kaha jana hai. Aur flip nai marna maine. Bas ab ye final.
Mom: Achha aur kya decide kiya tumne?
Sana: India.
Her mom looked at her with a concerned look: Are you sure Sana?
Sana: Yes, kyu koi problem hai?
Her mom smiled: No, koi problem nahi hai. I am proud of you sweetheart. Of all the countries in the world. You chose your own country. Mujhe humesha lagta tha k hum tumhe bachpan me hi America le aaye hai. Tu kabhi apne country jana chahegi ya nai? Tujhe main india ke sanskar kaise sikhaungi. Par dekho,mujhe zarurat hi nahi padi Tum khud hi sab kuch sikhte ja rahi ho.
She kissed her head.
Sana: pAr mom ek tension hai. Main hostel ya pg me nahi rehna chahti.
Mom: Kisne kaha ki tum hostel me rahogi? Meri bestfriend ka ghar bhi Mumbai me hi hai,aur wo bhi jo college tune choose kiya hai uske samne hi. Tum unke sath unke ghar par rahogi. Main abhi use call kar ke bata dungi.
Sana: Apki friend ka naam kya hai?
Mom: Rita.
Sana: Rita aunty. Mujhe unka number bhi de dena aap
Mom: Sure, now come let's have dinner.
Sana: Han aap jao main aati hun.
Her mom left and went to the hall where her dad was sitting.
Dad: So she chose india afterall.
Mom: Yes, pata hai kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai ki humare koi apne bachchein nahi hai. Warna main kabhi isse nahi mil pati.
Dad: Really,she is an angel in disguise in her life. Aur ye meri apni hi bachchi hai. Jahan bhi jayegi na ye,sab khush rahenge wahan. She has that charm in her.
Mom: I hope ye bhi khush rahe.
Her dad did her booking for the next week.

Back to India:
Rita was sitting in her hall watching Tv. When she received a call.
Rita: Hello.
Sana's mom: Hey Rita,kaisi ho?
Rita: arey tum. Main thik hoon tum kaisi ho? Aur sana kaisi hai?
S mom: wo bhi thik hai aur main bhi.
Rita: Bohot pyari hai wo.uski pictures dekhti hun main tu dalti hai na apne whatsapp pe.
S mom: Han actually mujhe uss related hi kuch bat karni hai.
Rita: Kya hua? Wo thik to hai na?
S mom: Ni ni, wo bilkul thik hai. Actually next week wo apne aage ki padhai ke liye india aa rahi hai. Aur india me ab humare koi relative hai nahi, tumhare ilawa....
Rita interrupted her.
Rita: Isse pehle tum kuch bolo, Sana mere paas rahegi.
S mom: Yahi puchne ke liye i called you. Thankyou Rita.
Rita: Thank you bolne ki koi baat nahi hai. Mera farz hai ye.
S mom: You know wo meri beti nahi hai,par jabse humne use adopt kiya hai use apni sagi aulad se bhi zyada badh kar mana hai maine. Please uska khayal rakhna
Rita: don't worry. Use yahan koi takleef nahi hogi. Main uska pura khyal rakhungi.
S mom: Thank you.
And then they spoke to sometime like normal friends.

Meanwhile in Asim's house:
He was getting ready for college when Mahira came into his room.
Mahira: Asim, mera aaj presentation hai main jaldi ja rahi hun. Tum Miesha ko drop kar dena please.
Asim: Aaj suraj kaha se nikla? Mahira ne presentation banaya hai. Wow. Wow. Tu ja ja, 100 me se ek din to padhai karti hai. Main rokunga nahi. Tu ja main miesha ko drop kar dunga.
Mahira: Tujhe to main ghar aake batati hoon.
And mahira left. After getting ready Asim came down. Where Miesha was already waiting for him in the hall.
Asim: Mieshu...
Miesha's heart skipped a beat. She always had a small crush on asim,even though he was her cousin. And asim also had an idea of her crush. But he didn't try to evoke her feelings ever or give her false hopes. Because he didn't feel any such thing for her. But due to his flirty nature he used to flirt with her too. And she knew that.
Miesha(blushing): Hey.
Asim: Chalein?
Miesha: Han chalo
Asim gave her his hand which she took,blushing.
Sudha was watching all this with side glances. She wanted Asim to marry miesha so that whatever property Asim has will be her's. But miesha didn't think any such thing.

Asim and Miesha went outside where he opened the door of car for Miesha.
Miesha sat inside. And asim too was about to sit but then stopped.
Asim: Mieshu main car ki chabhi bhul gaya. Abhi lekar aaya han.
Miesha nodded.
He went in singing "mere sapnon ki rani kab aayegi tu..."  He took the key from the locker and was going outside when he saw chetan. He just rolled his eyes and continued walking.
Chetan: Asim.....
Asim: Ji mamu.
Chetan: agar tumne meri beti ke sath kuch karne ka socha bhi na...
Asim: Arey mamu relax, humare beech aisa kuch nahi hai.
And he continued walking .
This attitude of asim was what annoyed chetan the most. That he didn't give a damn about anything.
