Jaemin felt a heart beating against a chest and he shifted under a tight grasp. It didn't even take him a second, his body already used to the presence of the older boy, to realize it was Mark's arms and heartbeat that were surrounding him.

He kept his eyes closed and breathed in the familiar scent of cold air and cigarettes. He winced at the thought and made a mental note to try and help the older boy quit his horrible addiction, although Mark did seem to be trying harder lately.

He felt the arm slung around his torso tighten and he opened his eyes, resting his chin on Mark's chest as he looked up at his face. He tightened his own grip around Mark's waist and smiled softly.

There was no doubt in his mind that he was in love with Mark Lee. There was no doubt that this boy in his arms - his soulmate - was the perfect one for him.

It had been so easy for Jaemin to fall in love after he truly befriended Mark. Sure, the pain of having suffered for three years should have been enough to make him hate Mark for forever, but he didn't. He really didn't.

Mark was nice. He was a caring older brother who would do anything for his sister. He was protective, certainly over his sister and even more so over his close friends. He was thoughtful too, and while he turned to anger much faster than others, he was also one to think about if he had hurt those closet to him and antagonized on how to fix it.

He knew when Jaemin needed space and when he didn't. He knew what Jaemin was thinking and exactly how to cheer him up. Mark was one to pay attention to detail, and if Jaemin had briefly mentioned in a passing conversation that he wished he had a cup of coffee, Mark would hand him a cup of coffee later in the day with an embarrassed smile.

He had his flaws, of course he did, every one did. He fought, he smoked, he was a bit mean sometimes and he wasn't the best student. He was cold to everyone except for his friends and had a stuck up attitude. But Jaemin himself was a liar and a deceiver. He kept secrets and he was also capable of being cold to those who hurt him or his friends. Jaemin built walls and he never let people see the real him, well, maybe he let one person see the real him.

Na Jaemin was in love with the good, the bad, and the in-between that made up Mark Lee — and he would have it no other way. Now he just needed to convince Mark that they were perfectly designed for each other. He frowned slightly at the task he needed to do. It wouldn't be an easy one to win the boy over.

Or maybe it would be. After all, there was something cellular between the two boys who shared their pain with each other.

He heard a soft groan slip out of Mark's mouth as he gingerly woke up, Jaemin moving back to look Mark more directly in the face as he woke up.

He had a certain plan in mind.

Mark's eyes cracked open and the older did a full body stretch before propping himself up, fixing a lazy smile on his face as he looked at Jaemin. "Good morning," he said in a raspy voice and Jaemin smiled back.

"Good morning," he said in a soft tone to match the morning's mood. Mark shifted to lay on his back and he turned his head towards the clock. It was only around 8:30 so they were in no rush to get up, school was cancelled to accommodate those who were affected by the storm. Then after that it was Saturday, so it was really an extended weekend.

"Hmm," Mark hummed and tucked his arms behind his head, "What do you want to eat for breakfast?" He asked nonchalantly and Jaemin took a deep breath to calm his rising nerves. He was going to do it. He was definitely going to do it. Should he do it? No, no he definitely would do it. "Jaemin?"

"Mark," Jaemin said, catching the boy's attention from the nervous tone in his voice, "Can I kiss you?"

Mark blinked slowly before laughing nervously. "Woah Jaemin I think I really misheard you. I though you said like, uh..."

"I did," Jaemin said and he sat up, looking at Mark and making sure he wasn't masking any of his emotions. The nervousness. The anticipation. The fear of rejection. "I asked if I could kiss you."

At this Mark sat up in a panic, fixing a shocked expression on his face. "W-What? I thought...I thought we said-"

"Yes," Jaemin confirmed and he moved closer to Mark, a bit of hope rising in his gut when Mark didn't shift away, "I know. We said that we wouldn't date because we didn't have feeling for each other. But-" Jaemin swallowed thickly as he looked at Mark, his heart pounding against his chest with anxiety, "-But I do have feelings for you. And I just want to know what it would be like to kiss my soulmate. Don't you wonder too?"

At this Mark's face turned bright red, his eyes wide as they stared at Jaemin. "K-kiss my soulmate?" He echoed in a fragment of what Jaemin said and the pink-haired boy nodded, shifting close to Mark so that his face was inches from the boy.

"You don't have to return my feelings, but please let me kiss you just this once. I want to know," Jaemin begged and he could practically see the gears whirring and clicking together in Mark's brain.

"It's not...like we would be dating or anything?" Mark finally said, swallowing thickly as his eyes shifted from Jaemin's eyes to his lips. Jaemin shook his head and placed a hand on Mark's thigh, leaning closer to the shell-shocked boy.

"No, it's just one kiss," Jaemin confirmed and Mark's hand automatically went to wrap around Jaemin as he crept in closer. Please. Please please please the younger begged internally as he waited for Mark's answer. He couldn't stand being rejected after putting himself out here like this. As confident as he seemed, Jaemin felt like he was going to go into cardiac arrest any minute.

"O-okay," Mark whispered and Jaemin smiled before closing the space between the boy's lips, brushing his lightly against Mark's. He felt nerves shiver across his body as he slowly moved his lips against Mark's, the boy not pulling away much to Jaemin's surprise.

And then it was almost as if a magnet had been connected between the two and as soon as Jaemin pulled away to grab air, both boys practically rushed back in for more.

This time, however, Mark's hands grabbed Jaemin by the waist, one of his hands moving to rest slightly under the hem of his shirt. Jaemin moved onto Mark's lap to get closer to the boy, his arms loosely hanging around Mark's neck as they pushed and pulled at each other.

Jaemin had to stop himself from jerking away in surprise as Mark's teeth caught his bottom lip and tugged at it, an action that Jaemin had always found attractive. His thighs rested against Mark's and he tilted his head to the side as Mark began to trail kisses along his jaw.

Electricity and bliss shot over Jaemin's body everywhere that Mark touched and he felt himself getting light-headed from the lustful attention he was receiving. He involuntarily let out a whine when Mark pulled at Jaemin's earlobe with his teeth, the sound shocking the two back to their senses.

Both boys pulled away in shock, but they didn't move their bodies or arms, just their faces as they breathed heavily. Jaemin looked at the confusion on Mark's face, but he definitely didn't fail to notice the lustful glint in his eyes.

At least he has some sort of attraction to me Jaemin thought to himself as his chest heaved up and down, his arms still keeping his body close to Mark's. He had no words to describe the interaction and neither did Mark. It was completely indescribable.

Unfortunately this bliss didn't last long, both their eyes widened with panic as they heard footsteps walk up right outside Mark's closed door and opened it with a slam.
