The doorbell rang incessantly and Jaemin gave Mark an annoyed look, the older shrugging while carelessly sipping on a mug of hot chocolate. He was wearing one of Jaemin's turtlenecks...for obvious reasons.

With his hand resting on the cold door handle, Jaemin let out a hesitant puff of breath before twisting the knob to the right and pulling it open.

"I got the cookie cutters!"

"Wow Jaemin I can't believe you've never made Christmas cookies before!"

"Merry Christmas Jae!"

Jisung, Renjun, and Chenle shoved their way into the tiny apartment, Jaemin dejectedly closing the door behind them, cutting off the biting cold.

"Yeah just come right in guys," he muttered under his breath and looked over to the kitchen to where the trio were setting down various ingredients and supplies for baking cookies.

To put it simply, the three of them had been more than offended that Mark and Jaemin hadn't trusted them to keep their soulmate business a secret. After Mark had unconsciously pulled Jaemin behind him and away from everyone, Renjun had launched himself at the older and hit him repeatedly over the head for even letting those thoughts surface in his head.

And of course both of them had apologized to the group, just saying that they were a bit shocked by the news. Regardless of their apologies, both had talked about the situation and come to the conclusion that it would be best not to place all of their trust into their friends. It would just be safer that way.

A hand ghosted over his waist and Jaemin jumped, looking up in surprised but smiling as Mark curled his arm around his waist. Mark leaned over and placed a small kiss on Jaemin's jaw, letting his lips rest there for a moment before he moved back slightly.

"You okay? I can still tell them to leave," Mark offered quietly, a hint of guilt in his eyes. Jaemin shook his head, wrapping his own arm around Mark's waist as he looked over at the trio completely wrecking his kitchen.

Mark had been completely shocked when they were talking over their morning coffee only a couple of hours ago and Jaemin had mentioned never making Christmas cookies. The Christmas-loving boy had practically had a seizure before he called their friend group over for emergency cookies, the trio only happy to oblige.

"It's okay Mark, just a little bit shocked they all convinced their families to let them go out on Christmas," Jaemin laughed and Mark smiled, taking a sip from the mug that rested in his other hand.

"I'm not, they all care deeply for you Jae, even that gremlin," Mark commented, eyeing Renjun carefully, the latter crawling onto the kitchen counter to grab a bowl at the top of the shelf. Jaemin smiled at the sweet sentiment, pulling Mark so that they were facing each other.

"Can't we just continue from where we left off earlier?" Jaemin whispered softly, a smirk on his face as he looked into Mark's reddening face, the older adverting his gaze.

"I-"

"Jaemin come on and stop trying to get into Mark's pants, that virgin could never take it up the ass," Renjun called from the kitchen, Mark choking as Jaemin's jaw dropped, the older's best friend blowing a kiss in their direction.

"I'll be gentle," Jaemin called over cheekily, earning laughter from everyone except the boy in question who just hit him in the chest, causing the both of them to wince at the hit. "Idiot," Jaemin teased as Mark rubbed his chest from where he had hit Jaemin.
