"Oh my god" morgana breathed and rushed over to check the pulse, though it was a long shot. Merlin however stood completely still, staring at the horrors of the world for a second time. Mind flashing to freya when she died. However freya never really died, she was always with merlin floating flowers. But here this man was, cold as the dread in his heart.

The wind woodshed against the castle as the shock registered. Everything went gray, not even the sky's would smile for Merlin. Worry and fear coursed through him. Yet here he stood with the face of a survivor grabbing Gwens arm and pulling her along with a grip powered by the determination set in his mind.

"Where are we going?" Asked morgana who followed on her own.

"The top of the tower" why? It felt right. Little did he know that a ring of gold shimmered along his eyes. To see if you would of needed a magnifying glass sharper then a eagles eye, a magnifying glass that could spot the single speck on the cleanest of all tunics. Yet they did not have one in their possessions so they remained unknown to the natural wonder that was the undeceiving eyes of merlin.

Merlin stood, making turns faster then he realized his brain could process, only running on the soft flap in his gut. It swooshed his stomach as if he had eaten silk, as if the soft fabric had made home and was leading then to safety.

They burst up a staircase and opened the old rusty door that came open before they had reached the top. Merlin stumbled through tripping on the floor and falling on the ground, the girls in tow.

"Wha-" merlins groggily voice broke out, but what interrupted by the laugh of a man with teeth the color of corn and hairs so scruffy they belonged on a donkeys behind.

"I can't believe that actually worked" Merlin turned to the other voice, a bald man with a shiny head like a pot of gold. He smelled of a thousand dead bees which confused merlin to no end.

"You doubt me?" Merlin looked over to the last man. A mysterious hood covered his face obscuring it in darkness. Merlins eyes flashed gold and they were on their feet. It surprised the bald man, which morphed into horror as morganas foot slammed into his face and he almost fell off the tower, only stopped by the flash of good not made by Merlin.

"Well well, emrys" the man grabbed his face as he shrunk back. Examining it. "Dallent said you were a beauty" morgana spit in his face and his dark green eyes that swirled turned to Morgana. The irises danced along the pupil imitating fire, which Merlin later realized was the sole purpose of that.

"So your morgana" he sniffed her and scowled "seers" morgana gasped and took a step back.

"How did-" he cut her off with his scabbed hand.

"The prophecy's speak of a seer. It seems you have chosen the path of good" he curled his lip and looked down at her, the speck under his feet. "Pity" and briskly walked off. Merlin was confused at the gesture until something hard collided with his head. He hit the floor with a thump that echoed around his mind until it was silenced by the waves of unconsciousness.

He smelt smoke.

Arthur road on his favorite horse. Penny, he supposed it was silly but they shared the same little pen part so it was special in its own way. Besides penny was the only one that could track as well as run and jump. You could say penny was a special girl. She often livened up the mood as well. Truly a wonder.
