Chapter. 19. I almost died...

(This chapter is another chunk of Lexi's past)

"Dad, I'm home!" I called.

"Dad?" Then I heard something shatter.

I dropped my bag and ran into the kitchen....

A broken bottle of alcahol.

"Dad, are you drinking AGAIN?! You promised you'd stop!" I yelled.

"Just go to your room Lexi" Dad said.

"No, you need help! I can't believe you lied to me!" I said, betrayed.

I picked up one of the home phones.

"I said just go to your room you Brat!" He yelled, slapping me, knocking the phone out of my paws and across the floor.

When I refused, He gave me eight million dollars so I'd go to my room.

And when I refused again, he punched me.

He took out a knife and stabbed my right paw.

I screamed, and he started scratching my face.

The neighbors heard my screams, and called the police.

By the time the police broke in, Dad had already stabbed me, several times.

I was brought to the emergency room, and I almost didn't make it.

By about August I'd called Kai, and told him that dad was dead. and that I was coming to stay with him and mom.

Dad wasn't dead...

When I got to America, I got a taxi to drive me to Where Mom and Kai lived.

But... I got inside the house and heard the bad news...

Mom died a week before I came, and her funeral was yesterday...

I unpacked my things, in tears, and went to stand on the balcony...

Someone pushed me...

And because of Kai walking outside, and me landing on him, I survived.

I almost died...
