36 - THE DEAL

"Unnie!!" Yuqi excitedly shouted as I walked towards them.

They're currently at the stage where their solo concert is going to take place at. They're sitting on the floor with a carpet placed underneath them and are casually eating their lunch.

All of them were there, watching me as I walked towards them. Too many stares make me nervous.

Shuhua tapped the space beside her and Miyeon. "Abby Unnie, here!"

But I didn't know what to do. Sitting with Miyeon isn't exactly the position where I want to be in right now, but if I refuse Shuhua then it's going to be obvious that I'm avoiding one of them.

Luckily, Soyeon was quick enough to wave her hand. "You should sit here, Abby. Your food is here."

Phew.

It was the seat in the middle of her and Minnie, so I quickly headed there. Shuhua just pouted and continued eating.

After I settled down, I noticed Miyeon staring at me while everybody was busy eating. I thought it was just a coincidence at first, but she keeps looking in my direction.

I took that chance to make her realize that I'm going to get over her. I purposely rested my head on Minnie's shoulder. Minnie smiled at me and offered me some of her fruits, in which I took and happily ate.

Miyeon finally looked away and focused on eating.

Whatever is going on with her, I better just stay away.

"Why are you eating here, anyway?" I asked Soyeon who was busily munching on her sushi.

"We just like it here. It feels nice to eat in this huge hall where we're going to spend our special time with our fans."

I smiled at her. "You're right. You must be excited with the upcoming concert, huh?"

"Yeah. In fact, all the girls are."

I nodded to her as I ate my lunch as well and looked around. After that, they started preparing for their rehearsal again. They told me to sit in the front seats of the venue to watch them.

They performed countless of their songs, including title tracks and b-sides. Their rehearsal went by easily, full of laughter and excitement. When one makes a mistake, everyone would take it lightly and help each other out. They're such a solid group.

It took about two hours before they went in for another break. The rest of them headed backstage, while Minnie signaled me to come with them so I did.

She waited for me and happily held my hand as we went in. "Did you see me?"

I gave her a confused look. "Of course I did! Why wouldn't I? I was watching the whole time."

"..I meant see me as a woman," she whispered to my ear.

I hit her lightly in the arm as I chuckled embarrassedly. "Ah seriously! Why do you always throw those lines out of nowhere?!"

She laughed, looking satisfied with my reaction. "Do you want to go somewhere today after our rehearsals?"

I shook my head. "Not really.. I think you should just use the time to rest. Aren't you exhausted?"

"Not when I'm with you.. I can always make time for you, Abby."

She's treating me so well.

I smiled at her. "You don't have to make an effort, you're doing so much already. I completely understand that you need the time to rest."
