ABBY's POV

"Welcome to our home," Minnie's Mom immediately greeted us upon our entry.

Their house was way too big than what I imagined. I mean, I should've known that Minnie was only being humble!

They even have their own garden and swimming pool! How is this not good enough?! If she says that their house here is nothing compared to their house in Thailand, my eyeballs are probably going to come out when I see that in person!

They're indeed, very rich.

"Come, Abby," Minnie smiled at me. "Let's go to the kitchen."

As we walked with her Mom, I couldn't help but look around with amusement. They have chandeliers, expensive portraits, antique collections, and designer couches everywhere.

This is the first time that my mouth is watering over something that's not food! Her family is amazing.. but that just made things scarier for me.

I'm no match for them.

Even their kitchen feels like the ones that I see in cooking shows! Their equipment looks complete and brand new. Gosh, I've never been so excited to cook!

"Abby, feel free to check out the fridge and go to the grocery with Minnie if you need something else."

I politely nodded. "Thank you, Ma'am."

"We can't wait to taste your special dishes."

After that, she left us in the kitchen. I started scanning the fridge for ingredients and there was no need for grocery shopping as they already have it all.

I decided to cook the most popular dish of Filipinos which is Adobo. I've cooked this a lot for the girls and they all loved it. Adobo is usually pork cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic.

I opened the stove after taking out the pork from the fridge when Minnie suddenly wrapped her arm around my waist. She tied my apron neatly.

Her hand was gentle as always.

"Be careful not to ruin your dress, you look beautiful in it," she said softly.

I smiled to myself as I looked up to her. "So are you."

Minnie kept humming songs while I did my best to cook. Her voice was amazing as always and I could never get tired of listening to it.

She didn't really help out, but she was there to watch and support me from the kitchen counter. After about forty minutes, I finally finished cooking the dish.

I took out a ladle and scooped some of it. "Here love, mind doing a taste test?"

She happily walked towards me. "Of course."

But I noticed that the food was still hot, so I started blowing on it. She just stared at me with loving eyes.

"H-Hey what?" I asked her.

She just simply shook her head. "It's nothing.. You look so good while cooking, Abby."

I chuckled. "You're making me shy.."

"It's like I can imagine my future with you. Living in our own house like this. With you alone, cooking for me everyday. I'd be the happiest girl in the world."

I blushed and instantly smiled as she said that. It was making my heart thump loudly that I felt like she already heard it, but since I was holding a ladle, I tried my best to stay calm until I was able to feed her.
