Irene and I entered the room and she was sulking after she knew I went to the Freshmen's party without telling her. I regretted keeping it a secret in the first place but I knew she has no plans in attending since she hated parties.

"I can't believe you. If you told me you're going, I would have come with you." She slumped on the seat beside me while I placed my bag on my table.

"Irene, don't kid yourself. You hated parties so much that even if I attended or not, either you wouldn't come or if you did, you'll not enjoy yourself."

"Still, you could have told me. But who's your partner then? Is it Taehyung? Oh wait, you and Jungkook had a deal about going together, right?"

Right. Another reason why I didn't tell her is that she'd keep on bugging me about everything. And here I am, wanting to forget what happened that night.

"I honestly don't want to talk about it." I forced out a smile but she didn't notice as she was too curious to know who I was with.

"C'mon, Jennie. Tell me. I'm your best friend!"

Suddenly, a scoff emanated the room. We were in our own worlds that we didn't even notice that Jungkook was already standing in the middle of us.

"Dream all you want, Irene, but I am her best friend. Now, go and vanish from my seat."

"Can you let me sit here just for this day, Jungkook? Please?" She pouted at him.

"No can do, Bae Joohyun. You can sit here tomorrow or any other day but not today. Today's my day." He smiled mischievously.

What's with today?

Irene rolled his eyes at him as she stood up and went ahead to the seat behind mine.

"How are you? I didn't saw you after I left you with Taehyung at the dance floor." He started the conversation once he got comfortable.

Kookie, we walked pass you with Rosé. You were just too busy with her to even notice me going home.

"Ah yeah. I didn't feel well after so I asked him to take me home early."

"Really? Do you have a fever?"

He instinctively reached his hand out to feel my forehead. I was taken aback by his action and can't help but blush.

"Hey, are you still not feeling well? Your lips looked pale but your skin looked flustered. Is that normal?"

I quickly got into my senses and gently brushed his hand away from mine. I looked away and bit my lips.

"I'm okay. There's nothing to be worried about."

I cursed at myself. For the days I have to be lazy in putting a lipstick, it has to be today.

He was still staring at me with concern evident in his eyes when the professor came inside.

"Good morning, class! For today, I assure you you'd all enjoy. Instead of you studying this subject theoretically inside this boring room, I will let you experience the field outside the school."
