The ref dropped the puck and Harvey immediately skated towards the puck, slapping her stick on the floor, telling them that she was open. The boy behind her skated like he wasn't even trying when in reality, he was skating the fastest he possibly could. They passed it to Jesse, who was standing behind Goldie and the net.

"C'mon Jesse." They all kept encouraging him and telling him to do it. "Jesse, hurry it up." He looked down at the puck and then nodded.

"All right, let's go. Flying V." Harvey smiled as the team made there way behind the net, positioning themselves in a V shape.

"Hall joined by his teammates behind the team USA net in the third period." Jesse smiles as the rest of his teammates nod, telling him to skate. "They start back out, and they form a V. I've heard of this before but I've never seen it. It's the flying V led by Jesse Hall." The players in the box start standing up and cheering. Harvey looked at the box for a quick second and saw Adam, smiling at her. Jesse passes the puck backwards to Harvey, and she passes it to Averman. Averman skates with the puck for a couple of seconds before passing it back up in between Jesse's legs. "Hall up to center ice. Hall with it toward the Germany blue line." At the last second, Jesse passes it behind him to Harvey. "Hall- shot by The Bandit herself. Miss Harvey Mendoza shoots and scores!" She raises her stick and skates towards her already cheering team.

"Yeah!" The pull her into a group hug, hitting her helmet and patting her back. Her whole team cheers as she skates passed them, high fiving every single one of them. They had won, and Harvey scored the winning shot.

..........

Harvey and the team sat on two benches in front of a trashcan. Harvey sat next to Averman with her feet on either side of Adam as he sat in front of her, letting her run her fingers through his hair as their coach talked.

"I've had a lot of big distractions since I've been here in LA." The team smiled as he held up a cardboard cutout of himself. "This is a distraction." The team made fun of the cutout, laughing at it and making fun of the way it looked. Coach took a match from his pocket and swiped it across the trashcan, setting the match on fire and throwing it inside the can. "This is a fire in a barrel. Harvey." She looked up from Adam's golden hair and met eyes with her coach. "Lately, out of all of you, I've been the toughest on you. I shouldn't have benched you and I deserved the speech. I'm sorry. So, I would like to give you the honors of drawing whatever you want on the cutout and the you can throw it in the fire." She happily got up from her spot and grabbed the black permanent marker out of Ms. McKay's hand before making her way to the cutout, drawing a mustache, feeling in his teeth, and adding a unibrow. Once everyone saw her masterpiece, they laughed, and Coach Bombay smiled. "Here." She took the cutout and put him in the fire head first, making the team cheer out in excitement. "This is a distraction n a fire in a barrel. Any questions?" The team clapped as Harvey made her way back to her seat in between Charlie and Averman.

..........

"C'mon Banks. We have to go." Harvey smiled as she watched her boyfriend walk out of the showers with a smile on his face.

"I'm coming, I'll be right there, Harv." She nodded her head as she made her way out of the locker room.

"Wanna go get ice cream, Kenny?" He nodded his head as they made their way towards the door. She walked out with her bag, her beanie, and her sweater, wait no. She groaned and internally kicked herself when she realized she forgot her jacket again. "Hey Kenny, I'll catch up, I forgot something." He let out an okay as she made her way back to the locker room, opening the door and telling who ever was in there, that she was coming in. "Hey, I forgot something." She stopped what she was doing almost immediately when she saw Adam, head hung low and looking at his wrist. "Adam?" His head shot up and watched as his girlfriend walked over to him, clearly worried at the sight. "What happened?" He tried to wipe the tears from his face, but Harvey saw them almost instantly. She pulled him into a hug. He quickly wrapped his arms around the girl's waist and held on as if his life depended on it, and it felt like it did.

"He benched me, so now my dad can't watch me and neither can the scouts. I hurt my wrist and I never told anyone that it still hurts. It's all my fault Harv. It's my fault." She quietly shushed him as he rested his head in the crook of her neck.

"It isn't your fault, you just wanted to play to make your dad proud. I know how that feels, wanting someone to be proud of you. But I asked how your arm was and you said it was fine. You could have at least told me." He squeezed her tighter as she softly ran her fingers through his hair. "But everything will be fine. We just need to get you x-rayed and then you can get back to playing. I know that you will play in that Iceland game one way or another." She felt him smile into her neck as she held him close. "I love you, Adam, I really do. And I don't like seeing you hurt." He loosened his grip and looked at his the girl.

"I love you too, Harvey. And thank you, for being there for me." She smiled and pecked his lips before grabbing his sweater out of his locker. He gave her a confused look as she turned to him, smiling.

"I told you I forgot my sweater."
