Summary- This is sad with a happy ending, it's based off the song "Heather" by Conan Gray. Y/N fell for her best friend, Draco, but she thinks he's fallen in love with another, Heather.

Draco and Y/N became unlikely friends in 3rd year. A lot of drama had happened that year and something just happened where a  Y/H and the slytherin prince became close friends. Despite their parents' differences, Y/N was able to stay at the Malfoy Manor the entire summer and now it's the beginning of 4th year.

******flash black********

"I still remember third of December"

Y/N and Draco had only been friends for about a month and a half and they were hanging out tonight and Y/N was really excited to go stargazing with Draco. She put a Y/F/C colored  tank top and some gray sweats, nothing fancy because they hung out almost everyday.

Draco was  waiting outside Y/N's dorm. "Hello, love" he loved calling Y/N her  special nickname, and she loved it too.

"Hello, Dray" she  developed a nickname for him too. Maybe she  liked him, but you had to wait because after you became friends with Draco, the golden trio ditched you.

They walked alongside each other out to a bench and you laid in his lap. It was quite cold and you didn't plan ahead.

"Me in your sweater"

"Here, love" he said as he took off his sweater and handed it to you.

"You said it looked better on me than it did you"

As Y/N slipped it on Draco told her "It looks better on you than it does on me" and she giggled.

****End of flashback*

"Only if you knew, how much I liked you"

Over the summer Y/N had developed feelings for Draco. She was almost ready to tell him, but she always got too nervous. There is no way she could ruin her friendship.

It was soon the first day of fourth year, and Y/N was ready. She practiced and everything, as soon as she saw Draco she ran up to him. "Hey! Draco!" she shouted.

"But I watch your eyes as she walks by"

She quickly realized Draco was paying attention to the new slytherin, Heather. Y/N was heartbroken immediately. Draco got called names like "Blood Traitor" and definitely lost a ton of population by being friends with her, Y/N knew Draco would do anything, I mean anything, to get his popularity and reputation up a little more.

    "What a sight for sore eyes, brighter than a blue sky."

    She heard Draco mumble something "What a sight for sore eyes".

    "She's got you mesmerized"

    (This is an AU where they don't arrive at hogwarts for a big meal and such, it's just kind of vibing y'know)

    Y/N ran to her dorm only to find out Y/E/N (your enemy's name BUT if you are Gryffindor it's Hermione because you have bad blood with her anyways) was her roommate. "As if this day can't get worse"  she mumbled.

    "While I die"

    Y/N hurried to unpack her bags, only leaving one small box unpacked. She waited until Y/E/N left and she hurried to the bathroom. Unpacking a shiny razor blade from the box, she carefully cut two thick lines and moaned in pain. (This is where the song references stop)

    She sits as thick waterfalls of tears flowing down her face. She hears her enemy open the door to her dorm so Y/N darts up and locks the bathroom door shut.

    "Y/N! I need to use the bathroom! Hurry up!" Y/E/N shouted.

    "Sorry!" Y/N screams and sniffles and hides her razors, and covers her wounds. She finished wiping her tears and let her roommate go into the bathroom. She forgot there was still blood on a towel she left in there.

    "Are you on your period! I mean I have mine too but at least I don't leave bloody towels everyone! Gross!" her enemy shouts.

    ****Time skip to next morning*****

    As Y/N waddled to the great hall for breakfast, she felt all the eyes in the world burning in her back. She knew that her sworn enemy told everybody about her "incident". She ran over to sit with Draco (If your not a slytherin then you are a rule breaker)

    "Hey, Dray. I uhm have you heard?" she asked praying he didn't.

    "Yeah! Everybody has!" his new friend heather barged in. Her eyes a dark green and her short, thick, black hair. Her makeup was done wonderfully for a fourteen year old.

    "Knock it off! It's a natural thing!" he shouted at Heather. Y?N  taught Draco about periods after he found a pad in the trash in your bathroom and he was surprisingly nice about it.

    "You know what Heather? I don't think we should be friends!" he shouted and Heather immediately ran to sit with Pansy.

    "What happened, Dray?" Y/N asked in a confused tone.

    "Well hanging out with Heather made me realize that you are special. Not just any girl can live up to my standards. Probably none of them, except for you." he said.

    "Really! Well in that case! You meet my standards too Draco" and with that Y/N placed a sweet kiss on Draco's cheek leaving him all red-faced.
