Cheryl's POV: I heard Jughead pull up outside which made me sob uncontrollably again. I just wanted him to walk in and Betty be at his side. I wanted everything to be back to normal but I can't be. It's over, Betty's gone and the only thing I have left is this letter

Dear Cheryl, I just found out we're cousins. I can't believe it, I've always thought of you as my family since we grew up together. Even when you had that mean girl phase, you were still Cheryl. I wish I had known sooner, I love you cheryl. I'm so happy we're family! Let's hang out tomorrow? It will be fun
                         Sincerely, Betty Cooper

I let out another quite sob as I think about the letter. It was only days before she disappeared, a week before they found her dead. This sounds weird though, of course we can't hang out. She's gone. As I sit on the couch I mentally replay the letter, breaking it down. That's when Jughead grabs it

Cheryl: hey give that back
Toni: Babe let him read it
Cheryl: but it's mine
Toni: Cher just let him read, then you can have it back
Cheryl*nods and wipes a tear away*
Toni: I just don't understand why someone would do this
Jughead: what do you mean?
Toni: well who's sending the letters, who's writing them?
Cheryl: maybes it's-
Jughead: it's not Betty, she's gone
Cheryl: well you don't-
Jughead*getting pissed* SHES GONE
Toni: Jughead calm down
Jughead: no I'm not gonna calm down because my one light, the only good thing in my life is gone. She's just gone, I should have protected her
Toni: you didn't know
Jughead: I could have, I could have saved her. We all could have *gets up, throws the letter, and walks out*

As I see Jughead leaves, his words hit me like ice "I could have saved her, we all could have" he's right. The night they found her body, she didn't come with us. We hadn't seen her in a few days, we guessed she was sick. That night, we went to the movies and pops. Once we finished all of that, me, Veronica, Toni, and Jughead wanted to surprise her with a little study snack. I still remember pulling up, seeing the flashing light. I remember like it was yesterday, I feel the weight of my arms as so struggle to get out of the car. I hear Alice sob as they broke the news. I tan over to Polly and she told me. I started to cry myself, I couldn't believe it. None of us could
