I tap my leg nervously, she's been back there for a while. 1 hour and 27 minutes. I stand up and pace a little. Polly gives a concerned look, she stands up to calm me down but I tell her I'm okay. There's nothing she can do, the only thing that is gonna stop me is Betty back in my arms. After 15 minutes, I sit back down. 20 more minutes pass and the doctor finally comes out. We all jump to our feet.
Alice: she is okay? What took so long?
Doctor: I'm afraid her condition is much worse than it looked
Alice: oh god
Doctor: she has a broken foot, fractured ribs, and internal bleeding. We can't stop the bleeding without surgery but it's extremely risky
Polly: well what happens if we don't-

Doctor: are you sure?

Doctor: yes she does
Alice: then do it
Doctor: okay, Nurse get her prepped
Nurse*nods*
Jughead: Can I see her?

In the surgery room

What if she doesn't make it? How could I let this happen? I punch the wall repeatedly, quickly a nurse pulls me off and Polly hugs me. Polly tells me "She's strong Jughead". Pollys right, Betty will make it. Right?
