(New Title For The Series Whooooh!)

John was good with half-truths.
At times, he actually preferred them.

The things he was telling the current owner of his school-were also
half-truths.

".......other magic you say?"

John nodded.

Dumbledore looked honest to god confused-but intrigued nonetheless.

"I can't exactly explain it-nor can I show others how to do it, so don't bother asking."
That seemed to do it.
"This magic is more 'muggle' than the stuff the teach at school."

Feed more halves.
Get him off your case.

Give him dead ends and corners.

Satisfy or confuse him away from the subject.

"How is that possible? Muggle magic that is?"
It wasn't in a demeaning or mocking tone, but one in which he was open to learn, slower-hesitant even.

John decided that this was one of those times where he could be a bit more straightforward.
"The Occult."

The headmaster's eyes opened just a fraction.
So did he know more of the occult?
Well he had to-he was a part of the definition.

Ghosts, magic, goblins, elves, wizards- the point speaks for itself.

"Think of Ouija boards and candle tricks."

John decided to lead the conversation away now.

"Nothing too fancy really~ What I did was an accident, short and simple! The little slight of hand backed up with the actual thing."

With a complete lie of course.

"But sir I do have one of my own-do we learn anything like that in the following years? Doesn't even have ta be destructive per say-just really hard stuff will do!-"

Complemented by redirection.

The Malfoy Manor was in its usual holiday buzz.

Guests of pure linage and power were invited yearly for the gathering.

Draco peered around his guests.

His followers and subordinates were gathered around their own table while the adults conversed in the other room.

The Manor was neat and tidy as always thanks to their house elves.

Their interior and decorations tasteful and screaming a place of wealth.

This of course-was nothing expected less of a Malfoy.
One of the oldest and few last pure lines of wizards out there.

High ranked in society and were viewed as some of the best.

Even the Dark Lord thought so.

The blonde shook the list from his head.

It was common knowledge that the Malfoys had been Deatheaters.

And personally to this day, away from his father's ears, Draco didn't know how to feel about it....

Because wasn't the Dark Lord......bad?
