I lug my suitcase to the corner of my room and sigh, breathing heavily.

There's a mirror on the wall opposite me and my newly blonde hair is sticking out in all directions from the haphazard bun on top of my head.

One of these days, it's going to the last out-of-town business trip that I have to take and I can't wait for that day.

Not that I have anything against business trips.

Especially not when I get to stay in a beautiful bungalow with my friends and swim during the day and attend fellowship meetings and dinners at night.

I just hate business trips that Winston and Klein think they need to send their most up and coming senior architect to.

I'm glowering at myself in the mirror.

The mirror is as ornate and vintage and majestic as the rest of the furniture in my room and the rest of the house. The whole place is dark wood and carpets with hunting trophies adorning walls from previous owners and high ceilings with four poster beds and conversation nooks in every room.

It's a beautiful place.

And I'm glowering at myself.

I'm right to glower at myself.

I'm right to give myself the disdainful look I'm giving the mirror.

I brought this upon myself by not being able to resist Marco's charms.

When it comes to putting know-it-all businessmen in their place, I'm your girl, but when it comes to rejecting whatever it is that Marco does to me, I'm apparently not your girl.

I'm not even your regular old fruit bat.

I'm literal jelly when it comes to Marco.

An absolute, pathetic blob.

I'd managed to stay away from him at the airport by arriving just in time for check in and in the car ride over by driving and putting Jenna in the passenger's seat beside me. This was further helped by the fact that Jenna can now, only talk about how well she and Juliet are doing in their brand new, completely old relationship.

They've been dating for two months, which is how long it's been since Bianca's wedding.

It's been two whole weeks since I ran out on Marco after almost bawling my eyes out in his room.

Until now, I think we've managed to chalk it up to busy schedules, but now, standing in my room, knowing that Marco is out there, getting ready to go to the same pool as me, makes me want to hide, but obviously I won't because I wouldn't be Isabella Hammond if I did.

There's a knock at my door. "Hurry up, slow poke, we're losing daylight," Jenna barks, as she walks off, probably in the direction of the pool.

I grab my towel and sling it over my shoulder.
