nini and ricky spent the rest of their day together, just staying at his apartment and having a good time together.
she could tell that ricky was treading lightly around the 'tv-show' topic. he wanted to make sure she wouldn't continue to second-guess anything at all, because there was no reason for her to.
right now, the two were laying on the couch, watching a movie together.
they both stayed in each other's arms and continue to watch the events on screen, enjoying each other's company.
"hey, we're still on for dinner tomorrow night right?" nini asks, looking up at him
ricky looks down and nods "yeah."
she smiles "good, because remember that tomorrow is our-"
"friendiversary." he finishes with a smile
she laughs "best friendiversary."
he joins her and nods "best friendiversary."
she smiles to herself as she cuddles closer to him, ricky wrapping his arms around her to pull her into his chest
they continue to watch the movie and when it ends, nini picks up her phone to gasp
"it's late, i should go home," she says as she quickly gets up from the couch
ricky groans "why don't you just sleepover?" he whines
nini giggles "because i have a meeting with abby tomorrow morning-"
"then set an alarm!" he exclaims
she shakes her head with a smile as she takes her bag and makes her way to the door, ricky following close behind
nini opens the door and turns around to give him a quick kiss, pulling away before he can deepen it
"ricky!" she exclaims with a laugh
"okay, okay," he sighs
"you're going to see me tomorrow night for our best friendiversary," she assures him
"yeah but that's a long time away." he says
she gives him a kiss on the cheek before smiling and walking off, ricky chuckles to himself before closing the door of his apartment
nini made her way down the steps of the apartment building as quick as she could to get some food before heading home
she got into her car quickly and started driving
a few minutes later, she arrives at a restaurant and walks inside, taking her order discreetly before going to the side of the entrance, on her phone to keep her busy
she hears her call for her order a few minutes and takes the bag before feeling someone bump into her
"oh i'm sorry- nini?"
the two stop in their tracks and look at each other for the first time in a while
