nini continued packing her suitcase with skylar, ashlyn, kourtney and seb as everyone was getting ready to head back to los angeles

logan was able to get a job as a national photographer, having the opportunity to travel the world to take pictures of the environment. his two favorite things combined in one

while skylar got signed with a record after a manager watched a few of her youtube videos of covers and one original that they wanted to record. she was all too excited to believe that everything was happening

"-i mean there's so much to freaking do!" the brunette girl finishes as she breathes heavily, closing her suitcase

the group all shake their heads with a smile as they've spent the last fifteen minutes listening to skylar freak out about the situation

"hey, i didn't hear you say anything about asking gina out," ashlyn smirks

skylar stops and looks at them, her cheeks turning pink and a nervous laugh escaping her

the girl clears her throat "u-uh-what-what are you guys talking about?"

nini snorts a laugh "sky, we love you. not as much as gina-"

"nini!" skylar whines, making the others laugh "i-i don't-it's not-"

"mhm," kourtney hums unconvinced as she finishes her suitcase and puts it on the floor

they all make their way out of the rooms, nini fiddling with her charm bracelet that she'd finally gotten safely on her wrist once again before leaving the hospital.

her moms had stayed in lanai along with the others so that the two women could catch up with aria.

nini came down the stairs with her suitcase before feeling it quickly being taken out of her hands, her head shooting up to see the curly-haired boy rushing down the stairs with -now- two suitcases in both hands

"ricky i could've carried it," she giggles as she jumps the last step of the stairs

he sighs "yes, but the doctor also said that you needed rest-"

nini sighs dramatically as she heads into the kitchen to get a piece of toast and nibbles on a bite before hearing her phone ring

she quickly takes it out of her pocket and puts it to her ear

"hello?"

"nini,"

the girl scrunches her eyebrows and pulls the phone back, not noticing before that it was an unknown number

"who's this?"

"quinn."

the girl drops the piece of toast at the nerves shooting up and down her body, as well as the slight surprise in why she was calling her

"quinn?" nini breathes

ricky's head shoots up at the sound of the name and everyone goes silent around her, listening intently at what was going to happen next

the curly-haired boy made his way towards his girlfriend, taking her hand in his as he softly careers the back of her hand with his thumb in a circular motion, nini cracking a weak smile towards him as a thank you

"i'm calling because i need to speak to you when you get back." quinn's voice comes through

nini opens her mouth, not quite knowing what to answer to that question "why-"

"how does this saturday sound? at the port?"

the brunette girl swallows silently and sighs "fine."

"good. see you then!"

the call ends abruptly and nini looks at the darkened screen in front of her, confusion flowing around her body as she asks herself why she even agreed or why quinn even called her

"you okay?" ricky asks quietly "what did she say? did she threaten you? i swear to god-"

"easy there tarzan, let her speak before you go swinging in on a vine without a thought." logan cuts in

small laughs are heard around the table and ricky gives him a glare before turning back to nini

"neens-"

"she asked me to meet her." she says quickly

everyone stops and looks at her, not really knowing what to say

"right?!" nini exclaims as she sits down and takes a deep breath

"are you going to go?" seb asks

the girl opens her mouth but ricky beats her to it

"no-absolutely not. no way."

"ricky-"

"no! i'm not going to let quinn manipulate you and hurt you even more with lies-"

"ricky she won't, because you're coming with me." she says with a small smile

the boy looks at her in slight confusion before nodding "oh-"

"and this is why we don't holler and swing on vines anymore." logan states, earning a high five from big red while the others laugh

ricky looks at nini to see her looking back at him and she stands up, putting her arms around his neck

"you're worried." she says

ricky shakes his head "i'm not-"

"fifteen years worth of friendship, you think i don't know you?" she smirks

the boy chuckles lightly and sighs before nodding "i just-i don't want something like this to happen again. i don't want to lose you." he says the last part quietly

nini smiles sadly as she looks him in the eyes "you won't lose me. both of us together forever right?" she asks, holding her pinky out

ricky grins at the memory from the last time they had done the same thing and takes her pinky in his "together forever and ever."
