nini looked down at the picture before her that was trending and blowing her phone up with notifications, rumors spreading like wildfire

she inhaled deeply as she felt the anger and hurt towards ricky.

the recording studio?

why would he lie?

why wouldn't he just be straight with her?

she hears a knock at her door, knowing exactly who it was and her stomach lurching at the thought of having to see him right now

she felt her eyes sting further with every step she took towards the door before opening it to reveal ricky

"hey babe," he smiles as he gives her a kiss on the cheek

nini stays there frozen and takes a deep breath before swallowing and nodding, turning away to go to the living room

ricky was extremely confused as to why nini was acting distant.

"s-so how was the recording studio?" nini chokes out as she sits on the couch

the boy stops and turns to look at her

"uh-good. it was good. the usual-"

the girl looks at him and scoffs in disbelief. she takes her phone out and goes on the hollywood twitter page, showing him the post

ricky felt himself freeze and he looks up at her to see her eyes glimmering with tears

"nini-"

"the recording studio? that's funny, i never knew hibiscus had a recording studio!" she exclaims

"neens there's an explanation-"

"oh go ahead." she says as she folds her arms

"okay," he swallows "i-i didn't want you to second guess yourself again!"

"oh my god!" she breathes as she rakes her fingers through her hair "don't you understand that when you lie to me about this stuff, that's when i second guess?! i told you this before and you promised me-"

"you're overreacting nini."

"overreacting?" she asks, taken aback

"yes! how do you think i felt when i figured out that you were friends with ej again?" he questions

"okay, that's something completely different." she defends "for one, ej isn't someone who's into me and trying to break me and you up!"

"where are you getting that from?!" he asks confused

"have you seen the way she acts with you? it's all; 'glare at nini', 'roll your eyes when you see nini', 'interrupt nini and ricky'-"

"you're blowing this out of proportion! quinn is my friend! and unlike you, she's not my ex who cheated on me." he shoots

"no, she's just some psycho who's trying to break us up!" she shouts

"why are you being so judgmental?!" he yells

"why are you being so gullible?!" she shoots back "it's like you wanted people to think that something was happening with you and quinn! did you forget that you're a celebrity and people have cameras and social media now?!"

"for once in your life could you please just stop thinking about what everyone thinks of you?!" he exclaims in annoyance "what's the point of second guessing yourself when-"

"i thought you understood! you of all people should understand why i feel this way!" she cries "the last time something like this happened, i felt horrible!"

"i was there nini!"

"well it doesn't look like it!" she yells before turning away, taking her bag and suitcase and rushing past him

"where are you going?!" he calls after her

she turns around "i'm going to salt lake and going to see my moms. i-i can't do this right now." she says quietly as she opens the front door

"so you're just going to leave again?" he asks quietly

nini stops in her tracks and turns to look at him one more time. their eyes tear-filled and asking the other what to do next

she let out a shaky breath before swallowing and closing the door behind her, running down the steps as quick as she could

she tried controlling her breathing to push her tears back as she got in her car with everything and drove off

she voice-messaged abby and her moms to tell them that she was on the way to the airport (abby was coming with her, for 'protection')

when nini does arrive at the airport, she puts her sunglasses on and her coat, avoiding the people due to no one knowing of her flight tonight

she comes to her gate and sits down at a secluded seat, taking her phone out to text her friends
