"ej," nini breathes as she takes in the tall boy standing in front of her

the two stayed there awkwardly for a few seconds before ej speaks up

"how are you?" he asks

nini nods "i'm good."

they return to silence and ej takes a deep breath

"look, nini i'm-i'm so sorry. about everything. what i did to you wasn't right." he begins "i don't know if you would ever forgive me. and you have a right not to. i just hope you're happy-"

"i am." she interrupts

ej swallows and nods with a small smile "well, that's good."

nini takes a deep breath and turns away before he stops her

"nini, do you-" he sighs "do you think you could ever forgive me?"

she takes a deep breath and looks at him for a few seconds

"i think so,"

ej looks at her in slight disbelief, not quite expecting her to actually say those words

"wait-what?"

nini sighs "ej, when you cheated on me last year, it really hurt me. it made me feel like i wasn't enough for anyone." she begins "but-i got back together with ricky, i have great friends and i'm happy now. so, i forgive you. and i honestly hope you get happy too-"

"i am." he smiles "i-uh-i have a girlfriend too."

nini widens her eyes "oh! yeah-i've actually heard that but i didn't-"

ej laughs "yeah, it's fine. we actually met on the set of 'jake & taylor' so-"

"well, seb didn't say anything actually," she laughs

"he didn't know." he shrugs off "but-i think she's been good for me."

nini smiles "i see that she is."

he returns the gesture and she takes a deep breath

"well, i should get going," she says "it was nice to see you again ej,"

"you too."

they both bid their goodbyes before nini walks out of the restaurant with her food, heading into her car

nini gets home and puts her food into a plate, setting it onto the counter as she sits down before hearing a call from her phone coming through

she picks the device up and isn't at all surprised about her friends facetiming her

swiping her thumb to accept the call, she sets her phone down against her glass of water as her friends' faces come into view

"you cannot drop a bomb like that and ignore all of our text messages." kourtney says

nini laughs "i was driving kourt."

"so? crash the car while texting us. your health isn't important. drama is." she exclaims

the brunette girl raises an eyebrow and kourtney sighs

"sorry, i had a bad day at work." she groans

everyone laughs and nini looks to see them all watching her expectedly

"so who did you see?!" they all exclaim in unison

"oh! right-" she takes a deep breath "i saw ej."

everyone's eyes widen and they look at her wearily

"are you okay?" seb asks

nini nods as she takes a forkful of her food "we talked and caught up a little-well, he told me he had a girlfriend and i forgave him. but-"

"i worked with him for six months- he has a girlfriend?!" seb exclaims in confusion

ashlyn laughs "well, you're not really a 'pay attention' sort of person seb."

the blonde boy rolls his eyes playfully

"he told me he met her on the set of your show-"

suddenly the realization hits him and he gasps "oh my god it's brookelynn!"

ashlyn, kourtney and nini knit their eyebrows together

"who?" they ask in unison

seb sighs "the girl who plays natasha."

the girls gasp in response and suddenly squeal

"oh my god it's a showmance!" nini exclaims

"they do look cute together," ashlyn adds

everyone laughs and they all look at nini

"did you tell ricky?" the red-head asks

nini puts her fork down and shakes her head "i'll tell him tomorrow."

"oh right! your friendiversary is tomorrow." kourtney smirks

a blush rises to nini's cheeks and she groans "i hate you all."

"we love you!" they all exclaim

nini shakes her head with a smile as they all continue to talk- well- more like kourtney rants about the situation that had happened this morning at her work, the brunette girl all too excited for tomorrow
