ricky, gina, big red and carlos all arrived at salt lake city quickly.
they kept their disguises on as they made their way through airport security as fast as they could, getting into the rental car that ricky had gotten for them
"okay, so we just show up at nini's house?" carlos asks confused
ricky nods "yeah-i think."
"shouldn't we have a plan or something?" big red suggests
"this is the plan." ricky answers "we all know that there's no way for nini to tell us where she is, especially me-"
"we'll find her ricky." gina assures him
ricky takes a deep breath and adjusts his hands on the wheel anxiously as he continues to drive the car through the familiar salt lake roads
he pulls up after a couple minutes at nini's childhood home and felt the wave of nerves overwhelm him
big red and carlos exchange looks of uncertainty and gina puts her hand on ricky's shoulder
"let's go," she says softly
ricky takes a deep breath and nods as they all get out of the car and make their way towards the front door
gina presses the doorbell and they all wait, hearing muffled footsteps before the door opens to reveal carol
the blonde woman's smile drops as she sees ricky standing there and she puts a firm face on her, folding her arms
"richard bowen."
he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up when he heard carol say that
in all of the years he'd known her, whenever she said his full name in that voice, he knew she was angry at him and that he did something wrong.
"carol-"
"what are you doing here?" she asks with a raised eyebrow
"carol i need to see nini-"
"she's not here." she says simply
"we know that-"
"and if you think i'm going to tell you-"
"carol i swear! none of that is true!" he pleads "i love her! i need to know where she is-"
"she asked me and dana not to tell anyone where she was going!" carol exclaims
"the whole reason we're here is to find and explain everything to her." gina tells her
dana appears at the doorway and has a firm, yet softer expression than carol.
"if you don't tell us where she is, then that means that you don't want her to know the truth." carlos say
big red widens his eyes and nudges him in the side
"-i mean that in the nicest way possible!" he recovers quickly
carol keeps her guard up but dana sighs and looks at her wife
"carol," she says
the blonde woman's eyes meet dana's and she takes a deep breath as she looks back at the four teens in front of her
