ricky woke up with his eyes hurting too much and his head pounding as he realized that he had fallen asleep where he arrived last night

suddenly, the hurt and pain rushed through him like a wave crashing after remembering what he saw.

he saw the way she laughed at what the boy that stood next to her said. he saw the way she was happy and most likely forgot about him.

he shudders a breath as he finally remembers her staying where she was as the boy leaned in to kiss her.

as ricky saw that the sun was almost fully risen, he stood up and walked as quick as he could to the port.

he needed to get away from here. he knew that nini wasn't going to just come back to him, he hurt her too much. it was all his fault. everything was his fault.

ricky swallowed back the tears with every step he took, his mind working against his heart to run back to the house as fast as he could and tell nini he loved her, but he couldn't. he shouldn't.

he wanted her to be happy, and this was the only thing he could do.

as ricky arrived at the port, he saw a boat leading to the mainland and felt his chest tighten when he saw the same boy from last night.

"is this the boat to the mainland?" ricky asks finally

liam turns around, not noticing who the curly-haired boy was as he shakes his head "sorry-this is a private ride. there'll be more boats-"

"i need to leave now." ricky says firmly

liam sighs "like i said, there'll be more boats, why are you in a hurry?"

"maybe because i want the person i love to be happy, and the only way for that to happen, is if i leave." he snaps

liam looks at ricky for a moment, still not noticing who it is before nodding and looking around for a boat

"hey!" he calls "you going to the mainland?!"

the man on a boat parked a few meters away nods and liam looks at ricky

the curly-haired boy swallows "thanks." he chokes as he quickly turns away and rushes onto the boat

nini tapped the back of her pencil to the heat she had in her mind onto the paper of her blank notebook.

she sighs as she wasn't able to come up with anything. it's like there was a wall between her feelings and music. the pain was there and she usually could express it, but now it was almost unbearable to.

looking at her phone, she saw a text from liam telling her he was leaving.

a sad smile formed on her face as she typed back a message wishing him good luck.

she felt really bad that he was leaving and almost thought it was because of her, but he had explained that her words got to him and he was going to go to the school he wanted to go to his whole life. and she was proud of him for it.

she hears skylar humming from a far as she wears her headphones and plays her keyboard silently before they both jump at a loud bang

the door swings open, revealing a panting frizzy-haired girl, red-headed boy, and black-haired boy with glasses as they lean over to catch their breath

"gina?! carlos-red-?!" nini exclaims in confusion and shock as she jumps up to them

"oh my god." skylar breathes, looking at the three celebrities that were set in front of her

they smile through her breaths and once they've all regained theirselves, they rush over to nini to hug them

"what are you guys doing here?!" nini asks

gina, big red and carlos all knit their eyebrows together and exchange looks

"didn't you see ricky?" they ask in unison

nini feels her heart stop "what?"

"ricky-? he came here to find you?" carlos explains

nini shakes her head "no he didn't-"

"yes he did." big red says "neens, everything that happened with quinn isn't true. it's all a lie-" he stops abruptly and brings his hand to his forehead "do you have water? my head is killing me-"

"wait so ricky-"

"he didn't cheat on you! he loves you-he came here looking for you last night!" carlos exclaims

nini then stops and she feels her heart drop to the bottom of her chest as she realizes what had happen

"it was him." she whispers

"what?"

nini ignores all of the questions coming at her as she quickly takes a jacket and puts it over her pajama's

"hey, so breakfast-" logan stops "wow there are a lot of people in here."

he watches as nini runs past him, followed by gina, carlos, big red and skylar

"and now we're running out the door." he narrates before quickly rushing after them

"wait what do you want us to do?!" gina calls after nini once she watches her run down the path

"stay there!" she yells back

nini sprinted her way down the path as fast as she could.

she couldn't be too late.
