it's a good fifteen minutes past 3 am when you pulled up outside of the red-head's house. you see her sitting on the porch, face burried deep in the loose sleeves of her oversized sweater, before looking up when she heard the sound of your car stopping in front of their house's front yard.

chaeyoung didn't waste a second before running towards the direction of your car and letting herself in. however, you were rather surprised when the moment she entered the passenger's side, she suddenly engulfed you in a tight embrace, pulling you as close to her as possible, arms holding onto you as if she's afraid you're gonna run away from her any minute and leave her alone in her vulnerable state.

"shh," you whispered in her ear as you wrap your arms securely around her shaking body to hold her steady. you wanted to tell her it's okay, but you know it's not.

none of it is.

so instead, you kiss the side of her head lovingly as you mumble as quietly as you could,

"it'll be okay."
