Vanilla (Shinsou x Reader/OC)

•Chapter 15•

Y/n POV:

I wake up later then normal. I lurch up immediately, panicking about classes before remembering there's no school today. I lay back down and curl back up next to Toshi.

Wait, what?

I sit back up, slower this time and look to my right. There, in all his purple, vanilla, sleepy glory is my boyfriend. I smile softly, then shake myself. Don't be a creeper, Y/n. Watching people sleep isn't normal.

I slowly get up, crawling over his body and limbs carefully.

"Noooooo." I hear a whine and a tug on my tail. I sigh and lay back down, nuzzling into his chest. Toshi falls back asleep, and I drift off to the sound of his breathing.

"Chikadee, mind explaining?"

One of my ears pricks up while the other stays flattened on my head. I open one eye slowly, slightly scared.

"You can get up, it's a little late to deny, dumbass." Toshi laughs. I then notice I'm very cold without his arms around me.

I sigh and sit up, yawning and stretching my tail. But my casual demeanor leaves when I see my father and boyfriend staring at me.

"So is this what happens when I leave?" Papa chuckles. I sigh and throw a pillow at him.

Before he can embarrass me more, Tsu texts me asking if I want to grab lunch with her and Tokoyami. I shoot a yes back and excuse myself to get ready.

"Where ya going?" Toshi asks.

"Mall." I respond with a smile.

He nods and responds, "I'll walk you there." I see Papa make a gagging face behind his back.

I dash upstairs, take a shower, braid my hair, and pick out an outfit.

I grab my backpack and sweater from my desk as I race downstairs. I see Papa open his mouth, probably to scold me about my outfit, but I choose to ignore him as I drag Toshi out the front door. We stop at his house for him to change, then head to the mall.

I spot Tsu and Tokoyami outside a boba place and run over, waving happily.

"Hey Y/n, kero!" Tsu smiles and Pat's a chair next to her. The bird of destruction nods to Toshi and sips his boba. (how, I don't know.)

After finishing my mango boba, we walk around the mall, chatting about Newsies. When we walk past a Hot Topic, Tsu and I walk in, our bored partners staying behind.

We ended up blowing all our money, and I surprise Toshi with a beautiful hat.

When he sees this "gift" he shoves it in his pocket and mumbles a thank you. I grin and look through my own haul.
