"So, since when could you give out inspiring speeches?" Raven asked her brother.

"Hell if I know," Qrow shrugged. "He makes it look easy."

"I still can't believe you're in the military," Ironwood mumbled. "And a sergeant major to boot."

"Must be a long career," Summer said.

"He's been in the marines for at least three decades," Zack informed them.

"What kind of products does he use?" Yang asked. "He doesn't look a day over 30!"

"I hope I look that good when I'm 50," Neptune said.

"I moisturize," Qrow joked.

"Yeah, yeah," Zack said. "Anyway, next one is ready. It's going to be one hell of a summer."

Ruby and Ren were sitting under a tree in their backyard with Zwei. Ruby was lying back while Ren read.

"This looks like me during the summer with nothing to do," Ruby said. "What's Ren doing there?"

"He's your adopted brother in this world," Zack said.

Yang scooped him up in a hug. "Welcome to the family!"

Ren wondered if he had just traded Nora for Yang? Time would tell if his life would ever be peaceful.

"So, Ren, what do you want to do today?" Ruby asked.

Ren shrugged.

"What about Zwei? What does he want to do?"

They looked at Zwei, who just barked.

"Well, he is a corgi, they don't do much," Tai said.

"You sent him to us in the mail," Weiss deadpanned.

"He what!" Glynda said, glaring at him then at team RWBY.

"Well, I couldn't leave him at home!" Tai defended. "Zwei would get lonely!"

"That would be preferable then enduring having a dog in the same room as me," Blake muttered.

"You know, you are such a stereotype, dear," Kali said. She didn't have a problem with dogs.

"Well, he's a corgi, they don't do much," Ruby said. "I for one am starting to get bored. And boredom is something with which I will not put. The first thing they're gonna ask us when we get back to school is what did we do over summer? I mean no school for three months, our life should be a rollercoaster! And I mean a good rollercoaster, not like that one we rode at the state fair."
