After the funeral the two decided to stay in their hometown for a little while longer. The two were walking through their old town hands intertwined swinging together. Winnie was now at peace, knowing her grandma was in a better place where she was being taken care of by her Grandpa Jones. Holding Charlie's hand she used her other hand to wrap around his arm and put her head on his shoulder. Smiling, Charlie leaned down to kiss her forehead. He was so proud of his girl. She was being so strong. Just like he knew she would.

"Hey Win, what do you say about some ice cream?" He said, giving her hand a squeeze.

"Ice cream sounds lovely!" She said leaning on him as they walked to the nearest ice cream shop. Once they arrived Charlie opened the door for her to enter as they walked in and started looking at which kind of ice cream they wanted.

"Get whatever you want lover, I'm paying today." He said kissing her temple. Winnie sure was the luckiest girl alive.

"Hi, welcome to the Scoopery. What can I get for you two today?" The girl working behind the counter asked Charlie as he walked up first, Winnie following close behind.

"I will take a chocolate chip cookie dough bowl please." He said stepping aside so Winnie could order.

"I will take a cookie and cream bowl!" Winnie said as the lady behind the counter started getting to work on their orders. Charlie looked over at Winnie and couldn't help but think how amazingly lucky he is. She was just fixing her hair and watching them scoop their ice cream and Charlie was still in awe. He walked a little closer to her wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek. She rested her head against his smiling.

"Alright, there those are for you two, that will be 7.94!" She said as Charlie paid and Winnie grabbed their bowls. They thanked the lady and found a table in the store to sit and eat.

"I haven't asked you lately but how are you?" Charlie asked once they had sat down at a table.

"I'm okay," She answered honestly. "I'm better than I was a week ago. I mean that." She smiled at her love. Making Charlie smile back at her.

"That makes me happy to hear, it really does." He said, grabbing her hand over the table. Running his thumb over her knuckles. She couldn't help but keep a smile on her face. She never wanted Charlie to worry about her like he does. But he does. She loved that about him,

"I love you Win, and I am so proud of you. This past week must have been so tough for you, but here you are still standing tall with a smile on your face. You inspire bub." He said making Winnie look at him with such admiration and love.

"I love you Char, Thank you for standing by my side this week. You mean more to me than you know." She said leaning over the table to give him a quick kiss. They soon were done with their ice cream and decided to do some more walking around town hand in hand.

They had been walking around town for an hour so they decided to head back to Charlie's parent's house. Once they arrived Charlie took her around back to show her that his treehouse was still there and still standing.

"It's still here?" She gasped letting go of Charlie's hand and started climbing up the ladder as Charlie laughed at her. Soon following her actions.

"You know, here on your 12th birthday was when I was going to confess my feelings for you for the first time." Charlie said as they sat on the bean bags that were placed up there.

"Really? Oh my gosh and I totally just hit you with a bomb saying I was with Logan. Oh Charlie I'm so sorry." She paused. "I was so confused with my feelings for you, I never ever thought that you would even think of me like that." She confessed as Charlie got off his bean bag and sat in front of her.

"Of course I would Win. How could someone not! You're beautiful inside and out, your personality is out of this world and just everything about you bub. That's why it didn't surprise me that all the boys were at your feet." He said being sincere but laughing slightly. Winnie smiled running her fingers through his hair then keeping her hand on his face.

"I love you so much Charlie Gillespie, you make me a better person. You make me happy." She said putting her other hand on his face and pulling him into a kiss. The kiss soon got passionate as they hadn't really had any alone time until today. Moving her hands to his hair and tugging slightly making him groan. She smiled leaving him hanging as she pulled away.

"Oh you." Charlie said tackling her down onto the bean bag kissing her all over her face. Finding her lips and making her smile against his lips realizing how her life really couldn't get any better than this

They later came down from the treehouse and headed into Charlie's childhood home.

"Hey lovebirds." Sarah said as they came into the kitchen right in time for dinner. Charlie grabbed the dishes out of his mothers hand and set the table for her. Winnie loved how he treated his mom. He knew how to respect and treat women and that's one of the things that made her fall for him.

"Alright dinner is ready," His dad, Justin, said, bringing over the dishes as the four of them sat at the table where Charlie and her grew up at. They all shared a conversation about Charlie's show and how Winnie has been doing. She loved Charlie's family. This was her second home, her second family.

Charlie, and Winnie loved being back in their hometown. It was nice, secluded and they got to spend a lot of time together. Charlie was worried about what would happen when they got back home. The show was at it's peak for filming was he going to have time to see and be with Winnie?
